Halo 4 and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary...

It's been 10 years since halo: combat evolved??!
Halo 4 is being done by some other developers, is it not? Not sure how excited I am. Not because of the new developers, but because I've already spent so much time in that universe and the games haven't been all that different from each other. I'm looking forward to seeing some actual gameplay footage though.
Playing a polished up combat evolved could be kinda fun for nostalgic purposes. I also loved many of the maps in that game
Oh, and the pistol is godly. I wonder if they are going to do some weapon balancing tweaks.

I wonder if they are going to do some weapon balancing tweaks.Yeah, they switched it to 343 Industries, which is (pretty sure) a Microsoft subsidiary they created just to manage Halo (343 Guilty Spark was the monitor in the first game). Bungie is moving on to bigger and better things now. Not sure what, there were rumors of an MMO but that turned out to be a joke. Not sure how the future of the series will unfold with another studio managing it, but considering all that they've got in the franchise I doubt they'd leave it in shitty hands (it's happened before though).
I kinda feel the opposite way. As much as I have invested in the mythology of the universe, I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT to see it get continued with the original characters. I almost jumped out of my chair when I first watched that Halo 4 trailer. I mean the legendary ending to Halo 3 basically hinted at this, with the ship slowly drifting toward some (obviously inhabited) planet.
And yeah, the pistol was awesome, especially in ODST. Headshots were insta-kills on the grunts. They kinda toned it down in Reach. Also I'm wondering if this trailer means we're gonna get zero-g jetpack fights.

Holy crap an HD remake! XD I'm excited! Man, I wasted a good 2.5 years of my life playing the original halo. One of my favourite games.

I'm glad that the remake is coming out a year before Halo 4. It will give me something to do until 4 comes out.

Combat Evolved Anniversary is also going to include a stereoscopic 3D mode, for people w/ 3DTVs and the glasses. Set to be $40 at release.
I realize 3D hasn't worked that well with other FPSes (e.g. Killzone 3), but still, pretty cool nonetheless.
