For tl;dr people, click this link, then scroll down to the bottom. Non tl;dr people click the link and keep reading.
Fall from Heaven 2 (FFH2) is a fantasy mod for Civilization 4 (Civ 4). It adds a lot of new things into the game. More than I can list out, but just as a few examples:
Magic (abilities that certain units can use given certain conditions, with varying effects)
Truly different religions with different effects
Radically different civs (much, much more differences than just traits and 1 unique unit)
A ridiculously large tech tree (there is vertical scrolling, I'll put it that way)
Armageddon (angels vs. demons can occur near the end of the game depending on how things go...though admittedly I've never actually seen this happen).
It's more than I could possibly explain here. Put simply, though, it's an amazing mod.
I made this thread because I'd like to organize a multiplayer game. One of the reasons I prefer FFH2 to vanilla Civ 4 for this purpose is because the civs, religions, and tech paths vary considerably from one another. This means that the decision-making is considerably more complicated, the game is much less linear ("race up the tech tree then kill" is probably familiar to vanilla players facing AI), etc. This is well-suited to multiplayer, IMO. It's like the difference between Rise of Nations and Rise of Legends, sort of (if you've played both of those).
tl;dr version: If you would be interested in participating in a multiplayer Fall from Heaven 2 game, post in this thread. If we can get 4 or more people together on the same day, we can play. Please also post whether or not you have Beyond the Sword, because this affects which version of the mod we can use. If you don't have BTS but do have Civ 4, I would ask that you purchase it if at all possible, as there have been so many additions to the mod since BTS became necessary to have the newest version.
