Yes. I am not using skeletons. Though commander necros are awesome tanks, and great for powering through dungeons, they are quite pitiful without corpses. Like during boss fights.

Not much to say here. Other than the fact that I intend to build a martial arts charge up assassin if I play her a little more.

Try using a commander set up with a socketed bow, it increases damage output considerably, doesn’t cost mana or overly impede spell casting and lets a necromancer get those all important initial kills without the shame of trying to bludgeon enemies to death with a wand.

This is my first diablo character, and I'm not sure if I've built it ideally. It feels a little underpowered right now (act III)

Before my last computer crashed, I had a barbarian at level 71 with over a thousand double swing damage from two maces (level 20) and still got killed half the time on the freaking blood moor on the hell level. It was the first character I ever got to hell level and it was too fucking hard! I also had an assasin (lvl 67) and a paladin (lvl 66) that I couldn't get past Diablo in nightmare level. I relied too heavily on fire traps with the assassin and I had a war scepter with the rune word holy thunder with the paladin. It still wasn't enough.

On my new computer, I just started a barbarian again but the cursor is not quite as stable as I'd like it to be.

summoning necromancers are where it's at. I think they're by far the strongest and most versatile build in the game, if you intend to play through it all yourself.

There are a couple serious down-points, where bosses are too strong for the number of skills you've amassed by that point in the game (*cough* act 2 duriel, normal)... but they're plenty capable of surviving hell alone, by the time you get there.

I hear you. I found that commander necros and druids left me watching more than fighting. I didn't find that interesting.

Unless your really into looting & minion management.
Anyway if your using a bow the minions just serve as a meat/bone shield.

Probably my favourite character I ever made was a blizzard sorc, got to the early 80s and then stopped. It's long gone though, since it was on closed battlenet.

Anyway, currently I don't really have any characters :P can't load the game because my expansion cd got scratched and I haven't really looked for a nocd crack yet.
