I know a guy who does it amazingly well. He has mapped periodic table of elements based on concrete objects involving someone else's underwear. He used the same techniques when remembered pi decimals. I have too low sensoric memory. It is easier to juggle between concepts for me. I think I'm able to create some and of palace on the fly based on past outtakes. This relates to this etc. But concrete objects are hard for me. It is like I'm applying some kind of formula which starts give results.
I am sooooo taking up this project again. I've been trying for a while, but I just realised my fatal error - I've been trying too hard to invent a place from scratch!
Just gotta find a building I like and use that, but theres too damn many that make the shortlist!
I started making a mind palace in November 2014. It only has three rooms so far, and I rarely ever use it, but it did save my butt on my theology midterm that school year.
I've only used it for two tests and a quiz in total, but it has worked fabulously every time /._./
I should practice it more, it really is helpful.
Maybe I could try to store my random ideas in there
Or use it to remember my dreams; that would be really cool.
