Someone asked me today if I ever get nostalgic moments. I thought, and I said "no.. not often.. rarely". Interesting question though, I never really thought about it. I mean if things remind me of a past time, ok then, I dont exactly dwell on it.

I was wondering if people here felt the same.

Some things makes me really nostalgic. Whenever I see someone lying on a hammock I remember summer in the beach with my family, and whenever I eat a delicious crispy toast it reminds me of my grandmother's toast. Or when I think of the kiss of a girl that meant a lot to me, a lot of moments come to mind. I think everyone get those things. Is that what you meant?

I dont know what I mean. Lol. I think certain songs or even scents give me nostalgia, remind me of times, but I never really think about it. I think the person who asked specified if I ever dwell on it in a sentimental way.

I am very nostalgic and sentimental. This will naturally increase with age. Songs, scents, old junk shops, heirlooms, scenery, etc can all evoke deja vus, feelings of prior lives (yes it is weird) and nostalgia. The prior lives phenomena could be old dreams or stories from youth. I believe this is a feature of Si, which we have as a tertiary function.

Same sentiments, different cues.

I get very nostalgic about Nintendo 64. It gets brought out and hooked up every couple of years, at least.

You're right, it is Si. I also can be extremely nostalgic, though it is usually sporadic. I typically have periods of very strong nostalgia followed by periods where those emotions aren't evoked.

I generally don't have nostalgic moments. I can see an object that seems nostalgic because it's reminiscent of an older time while new. For example, I've seen shoes that were probably popular during the 19th century.
