I have a mild obsession with Ze Frank. Needless to say, I recommend his website completely and totally to anyone who like procrastinating with little trinkets on the web.

His webshow is amazing too. I love how he randomly bursts into song, how he shoots sarcasm beams out of his mouth 24/7, and completely accurate but incredibly humorous observations about life. (One of my favorite episodes)

Your thoughts?

In the center of the world. (As opposed to the ear
I watched The Show with Ze Frank while it was still being broadcast originally. It made a **huge** impact on the internet. Most of the things he does in his show that you recognize as common today? I seriously believe he was the originator. Like having choppy scene transitions often? He was the first person to do that. (He was probably picking up on something in action scenes of modern day in Hollywood, but it was new on the internet.)

Even the idea of a 'show' like that was still fresh at the time, the way he did it.

His sense of humour, as well, still carried an aroma of originality. Many others have imitated him sense, and it's been incorporated into the general web-humour.

I still think of "How do you work this thing", "Hind sight is 20-20" and others randomly at appropriate moments. (I will randomly sing a line of these songs as a pop-culture reference to myself occasionally--as of yet, I don't think anyone has ever caught it, which is a shame. I'm always hoping to find another person who appreciated The Show.)

If i had watched the show when it first came out, I don't think I would've appreciated it properly, being a youngin' and all. I definitely do recognize the effect it's had on the modern internet; he's quite the visionary. ^-^
