I ran the site through Sucuri.net, showed two clientscript problems:

These may or may not be the causes of the problem mentioned.




So I took them out, and so far the site still stands: but I'll look for replacements; and then see also if the problem still exists.

Securi now clear.


So, I considered that as I had already set YUI (Yahoo! User Interface Library ) to none, we'll see if there's any harm in removing the directory.

I can put it back if everything stops. It's just a caching service run by either Yahoo! or Google on their servers, so it may or may not go slower.

I suspect that removing Yahoo! from the equation could make us 10 X faster.

The forum migration thread, in which Kuu mentioned I should relay:

convince ragnar to do migrate it to elkarte? or whatever? It's not like we had talked about this over 6 months ago...

If it's possible to make the change, it seems like everyone has converged on the idea that it should be done sooner rather than later, and that we're prefer to still have a forum community and have an imperfect match than nothing at all.

ATM I'm the only active mod, and I have no computer skills. If the forum transition doesn't happen soon it's going to die I think.

Edit: also, people are really fond of dark castles and want a similar skin on the new forum if that helps you make the decision at all XD

yes yes, most any option would be better at this point - i think. so long as the posts/users all transfer over. we can do with different plugins and so forth.
