beer, as light tasting as possible, quite a bit of hops but little "body". 4-6 % ABV.

just regular ordinary beer pretty much.

For some reason I only prefer white wine and its derivatives. This makes me unpopular during drinking sessions where beer or rum are served.

Real ales, porters, red wine and whiskey.

That being said though since this recent illness I've had I've lost my taste for ale (tried after the illness).
The others are untested though, as I haven't really drunk since.

I like mixed drinks like sours and martinis, fireball whiskey, coffee liquors, etc. I'm up for anything though, mainly to try new things.

Did anyone notice the "hi I'm an alcoholic in recovery" thread appears next to this thread in the feed? (Or well, did?)

Irony in the morning is better than coffee, I suppose.

taste-wise some green woodruff liqueur or something vizzy with lime, mojito, etc.

i am inexperienced with tastes though.

i tried almond liqueur and I liked it first, but later it made me vomit (mixed in the stomach together with some iboga rootbark powder and apple cider vinegar) and i actually quit drinking because i was so disgusted by the experience. i could never really enjoy alcohol after that. i wonder if this is a reproducible method to heal alcoholism. adding iboga, vinegar or both. i had been drinking for about 15 weeks straight, in 2013, 'twas an intentional experiment with my personality. never drunk before (well since 2001) or after.

I usually prefer pretty simple drinks. Whiskey neat (preferably something Irish), gin and tonic (if it's hot out), or occasionally a gin martini (in the right environment). I'll drink red wine at dinners.

I rarely drink, but when I do, I like vodka sodas, appletinis, cosmopolitans, quaaludes, chocolate martinis, pear presses, blended mango margaritas (no salt), mudslides, peach mojitos, non-spicy bloody marys with extra salt, coffee n' schnapps or Bailey's, car bombs and oatmeal cookie shots. I'm all about that white zinfandel, framboise, champagne, chilled soju and reisling too. (God, maybe I've drunk more than I thought I have. I think I may need to reevaluate my life...)
