Which type of music do they have in the galaxy in which Star Wars is based? I liked the song in Jabba's palace and the one in the Mos Eisley cantina. Hypothetically, if our music genres were similar to their music genres (likely true with the style, but they'd have different terms), I think Yoda would enjoy classical.

One's ability to enjoy music can depend strongly upon their ability to emotionally relate to it, from this we could assume Yoda would like happy, peaceful music, the sort you'd hear in a coffee shop or from a "meditation" CD.

However the emotional persona one shows to the world can be vastly different to one's actual emotions. Considering how stressful the little guys life must be (being practically responsible for protecting the universe from absolute evil) I imagine he'd listen to something with greater stress relieving qualities, like Fat Boy Slim or The Prodigy.

But actually, why do people keep bringing up these kinds of questions? These cannot never been answered, and I'm quite sure it would not be rock or metal style. Most obvious would be that this genre would not have been made up yet, at least not by us. It's almost like saying that evolution is the same everywhere, like there is a pattern to follow, but it is random on that point, or am I wrong?

I'm quite sure that same electric guitar and drums cannot be invented at different places and people cannot have uninfluentially same taste on music at the same time, so I find this question quite odd. Yoda and iPod are American things, and I really would not like to think of USA as something as ignorant as it.
