So, I've been diagnosed as having ADHD, and it really isn't a leap of inference to think this mental ailment can cause poor working memory (alternatively, not being able to pay attention long enough or in depth enough to properly insert moments of significance into memory). It's also been claimed that Depression and anxiety cause more cognitive deficits than ADHD, and I have my fair share of all of them combined.

I've noticed this most troubling symptom while buckling down and trying to finish a Comm 087 class (a requirement for those taking English 121). While I ploughed through all 25 topics in less than two days, as I failed most of the Diagnostic Pre-tests and was assigned many topics, all that seemed a struggle to fully integrate into my memory. I'd actually say roughly 15% percent went into my memory, during the mastery of those topics, and I'm sure I've forgotten close to 10%. And those tests, I feel like with some of the higher scores that I received, that that was sheer luck! I'm not sure, but I may have a comprehension issue, it's hard to say at this point.

Does anyone else here have what seems like a crippling memory problem? I've been told I have a "severe dopamine shortage" which plays a large role I'm sure.

I have depression and it seems like my ability to hold onto an information and manipulating it became difficult. You can increase the volume of the hippocampus(the region in the brain that is associated with memory) with aerobic exercises.

What was that again?

Thanks for the reply, I can tell this topic isn't too popular, lol!

Eh, I don't know it seems my memory is "exit only."
