-Your initial perception on the test, your mood going into the test, a test about YOURSELF
-subconsciously manipulating your answers, how you want to be perceived by others
-Selective thinking(bias)
-You cant think of HOW you thought in the past, you can only use the present and imagine how you think from the past
-You have the ability to lie to yourself
-You have to use your environment and surrounding to answer some questions

Thoughts?

on tests with dichotomies i feel both are true about myself
most tests were made by feelers (Myers Briggs)

yeah these are most of the reasons why people end up with the wrong result about 50% of the time, though tbh I think they get it wrong more than that

And that's why the kings need to become philosophers and the philosophers kings - because the masses do not posses the intellectual capacity to type themselves accurately. Only the few have this godlike ability to reach the epistemological peak of an accurate MBTI type.

The tests may not work but the test isn't the end of it. Merely only a starting point.

What's with the double standard? Can't the creators make them 100% accurate all the time and bug-free like everything else?

Haha, maybe.

Sure the test may or may not work, I'm not saying it's completely invalid.
The problem with using it as a starting point is regardless whether you types yourself right or wrong it doesn't help. after you will always need require further introspection to find truth, along with the doubt that it may be a bunch of bologna.

There are also many stereotypes and generalities found in many forums that's full of false knowledge.
Psychological and biological factors also play a role in fucking up your type. As if we're all perfectly healthy...

There would first have to be personalities everyone can seemingly agree upon. MBTI types are too broad and most of the time they are stretched to fit observation and the theory. Slightly more advanced than zodiac signs but most of the disagreement comes from people thinking they got the short end of the stick by getting typed some S type while N purportedly exists. Types even have subtypes nowadays. Nothing is bug free. It's still a starting point but may not even be a journey worth taking, yes.

Whenever I try to analyze large concepts like Mbti I always end up telling myself "fuck everything" I don't know why.

Then you'll be able to look at it longer before saying fuck it. You have to want it and it must be necessary. Maybe it doesn't suit your idea of a description and makes you bored or existential, in some cases.

What's another example of a large concept?

Can your ego mess up t-f preference? it seems like a thinker values t over f, and f values emotions over t. Would your ego actually change the preference? (its going to change the percent but you will still have the same preference right?

i think i took an official mbti at school. It was really cool to see a section of the test had different words, which you choose the word you like most. somehow this helps them determine type, at the same time you really cant tell how it will affect the score(no bias)
I really dont understand Fi at all.
I think explaining the types before they take the test is a great way to induce bias
._.

Once you learn the functions and take the test its so hard to be objective. you can manipulate all your answers
