why hello there!

Well, i guess i should introduce myself. I am a junior in high school. I took a personality test about a year ago and the results were INTP, but I'm not really sure if i am or not. I have taken other personality tests as well, and got INTP every time. I'm not sure if this is because i just fill in the same answers every time since the questions are always the same,(like I'm filling a mold i created for myself), or if I'm truly an INTP.

I like music a lot, and can basically listen to any genre. I can also play the drums. I'm an average student in school, but dont really worry abut that very much. I like reading sometimes, but i definitely start more books than i finish, which really makes me angry, i wish i could just read through a book without getting distracted by another, you know!? I'm reading Ender's Game right now and it's amazing, has anyone else here enjoyed it? Anyway I've been checking out this forum for a little while and finally decided to join.

I can stick to one book, but that has it's own flaws, I want to read so many but have to finish the one I am reading, and when I do finish I have forgotten which books I wanted to read.

I've read somewhere that the test doesn't work until about 25 but that might just be for other type's as I think INTP's are stuck in their ways.

Jesse.... so your telling me you finish more books than you start? But I agree I finish the book before moving on, unless it's abysmal.

How long have you played drums? I played for 4-5 years on and off and own an electric drumkit (though I rarely play anymore). What styles do you like to play? I play heavy groove with a strong emphasis on constant strokes and hand alternation, as opposed to precise controlled playing.

What is this Ender's game that everyone seems to like here?

Do you have a passion for music in general which fuels an acceptance for multiple genres, or an indifference that leaves you unable to find a reason not to like a particular style?

You sound INTP from your one post, but obv I could be mistaken if you know your target audience.

@Jesse- it's not really like i can't finish a book, i finish a lot of books, but i just seem to start reading a book and then get distracted by another. So i guess i should have said that i read multiple books at the same time, and some of get lost in the confusion, and i never finish them haha.
@Hadoblado- I've been playing the drums on and off for about 4 years, but am starting to take them more seriously now. I mostly play progressive rock and metal.

Also i was wondering if you guys had any way to tell if I'm an INTP aside from personality tests. Any help would be appreciated.

Hehe, this is what I always wonder too. Everytime I fill in a test, I think to myself: 'Am I really like this, or am I filling in who I think I am/want to be?'

Theres a cure for that. Don't pick up another book until you're finished.

If you start nodding your head at about 70% of them, you might be an INTP. No doubt others will have some more constructive ideas though.
