My heart goes out to the people who answered the last option honestly. :(

I did it at 21 with a friend who had a crush on me because I wasn't sure of my sexuality. Didn't enjoy it. Turns out that I have to really love and/or trust someone to enjoy it. And then it's fantastic. But those people are *really* rare.

I hope the virgins here don't feel bad about their status. ES__ society might make you feel like shit about it every time you turn on the TV or walk outside, but you have to remember that it's harder to find people with whom you're compatible with. The odds are really stacked against introverted intuitives in finding a partner.

She was my old teacher. I refused to have sex with my boyfriend before her when he suggested it. I could have lost it when I was 14.

I hate to ask this...but are you a male or female? Or do you swing both ways?

Lost it at 27, to the girl I had just married.

I don't really believe in the concept of saving one's self till marriage, but I didn't have any opportunities until I met a girl that did hold that belief and married her.

Do PM me the contents.

It was a long monologue about the woes of being a manwhore, and about how society doesn't accept that men can feel used as well. I was mercilessly taken advantage of by a hot girl when I was 14, and I've been promiscuous in reaction to the psychological wound ever since. The poverty of wealth. The loneliness of whoredom.

I question the validity of 3 of us losing it to rape. I almost answered that question because I chuckled when I read it. Granted, I'm a heartless bastard at times and this could be one of those times.

I lost it when I was 18. I regret that incident, yet it lets me say I'm not a virgin which is the only benefit of the encounter. To the virgins out there, I would say don't do it just to do it (unless they're really hot ;) ) It's just that, it's only enjoyable when there's an emotional aspect to it as well. So yeah, no sex in 6 years, I should have just answered I am one because I'm pretty damn close at this point.

Hi everybody, I just wanted to ask you all not to be too harsh with yourselves about your relationships... there are ideals which inevitably come with corporate societies like the ones we live in, and they're not always easy to fulfill or even good to fulfill. In a way, people realise that they're unhappy but don't realise why, so they think that they can have hapiness by reaching some far off or socially-made goal! I think it works a lot better to realise that hapiness and fullfilment aren't really about being loved, they're about being loving. When you're loving and warm (everybody can be if they're human, and maybe even if they're alien! :)) people... and yes sex too... just tend to come towards you.

Please don't misunderstand me! I don't mean that anything any of you are doing is causing you're virginity, or even that virginity is in any way bad. I think that everybody does the best they can with the experiences and resources they have, really. What I really mean to say is that practicing being loving and compassionate (and liking people. Yes INTPs, liking people ;)) can make you happier either way, but will probably also make you happy and have sex with people attracted to your hapiness :)

I didn't lose it, I gave it joyfully to my husband on my wedding night. And it was fantastic. I was faithful to him while married and have been chaste ever since our separation (1995) and later divorce.

If I ever have another chance to marry, I hope to make the decision with my head, not my heart, since I now completely distrust my heart to have my best interests and long-term welfare "at heart". I realize this means I'll have to start with a friend. And if it never happens, I can stand being single and lonely. As a favorite songwriter said "It's okay to be lonely, as long as you're free."

wow, never thought I'd see a poll with the option "I was raped". This poll makes me feel better though, i thought a lot more INTPs were virgins.
