Contributor, though I silently seethe behind the facade.

It's unfortunate, but if you want to get ahead in life you typically need a 150+ IQ, or know some people higher up the food chain than yourself. I limit my exposure to people as much as I can, so the toll it takes is mitigated to a fair degree. In my professional circles however, the mask has to be worn.

I often liken it to a dance. It's something we all perform, but some know the steps better than others. I'm always stepping on toes - but I try, at least.

Thanks for the share, this is really good stuff. Plus they offer a bonus link with tons of material I haven't seen before: http://www.cognitivestyles.com/

The two descriptions fit with my idea of subtypes in Socionics, perceiver INTJ in this case would be accentuating Fi sorta like an NF type(Ni-Fi), while Te accentuation pulls up the Se an appears as ST. In Socionics the second function works toward social actualization so the idea of a social mask seems pretty congruent.

I'm not 100% on being NiTe/INTJ but I do feel in recent years I've become more focused on the external and honestly I don't know if it's for the better or worse. I guess I am more positive these days and not as depressed as I used to be. So better? I'm still working on the social stuff.
