Hello, I’m looking for some whetstone to try my hand at sharpening. I do have one that I use on my general ax but want something specific for my knives. I’ve no idea on make etc. I’ll guess I need a few stones ie 300/1000/6000 grit ish. like I said I’ve limited knowledge of using them so any input is welcome. I have a Spyderco tri thingy which works well. But I want more. also need a paddle strop as my cutthroat one is getting very used! thanks

I can wholeheartedly recommend Spyderco tri. It's been in my family since I can remember and it's amazing. I've been using it to sharpen my chainsaws and halberds since the war of the roses.

It's not only done brilliantly in terms of sharpening my tool, but it has also sharpened my intellect and fixed the ongoing divorce situation that haunted me for years. Now everyone is besides themselves, resting in pieces thanks to the wonders of Spyderco!

If you're wondering "Is Spyderco right for me?". OF COURSE IT IS.

It's perfect for any problems that require sawing, slashing, puncturing, piercing, butchering, hacking or cutting.

Johnny Stalin - one of the great enjoyers of Spyderco used to put it like this "Slashing solves all problems. There's a man, there's a problem. There's a man in 20 pieces, there's no problem."
