How are you today
I've been into speedruns lately, I enjoy watching the glitches and methods, and it's really interesting.

So what has you hooked, what's stolen your interest, what are you irrationally spending 20 hours a day on?

Grinders/biohacks, magnetic implants and whatnot. you know having a magnetic implant gives you a 6th sense of sorts where you can detect electromagnetic fields coming from electronics, And you can have your hand blown to bits if you come anywhere near an MRI. Is it worth it? I dont know yet i kinda want one...

Taking a cryptography class. Presently researching random number generation which has been a fascination for decades. Surprisingly - really surprisingly, most all the RNG's we use suck bad. Even proving a generator is really random turns out to be extremely hard.

That sounds interesting. Are there any related articles or videos youve come across about that?

Pretending I'm a cat and rolling around, pouncing on shoelaces and attacking bouncy balls and zooming around randomly with my cat. Also occasionally sleep on some elevated shelf or wedged between two inanimate objects to really understand how cats experience the world.

I'll probably write a book about it one day.

Tried VR for the first time about a week ago. That shit is going to change everything. I've been reading about it a bit since then and there are a lot of interesting challenges to designing immersive experience. Creating VR content is going to be a big deal in the near future.

Also, a girl.

Absurdity came back with Architect! :D

I would love to read such a book and I hope you publish it soon, RB. It sounds like an autobiography by Jane Goodall!

Samsung Gear VR, which I guess until the Rift comes out is top of the line? Still very much a noob about all this stuff but I find it fascinating.

Sweet! Yeah, it's the only non-devkit out right now. I've been keeping up with it too. Never tried it myself but everyone I come across who has, says great things.

Apparently VR is well positioned to revolutionize gaming/media in the next 5 months. I haven't seen so many companies all investing on a developing technology since the smartphone/tablet.

You have the big ones like Microsoft, Sony, Facebook, Samsung, Nokia, HTC, Google, NVIDIA, AMD -- and dozens of little indie startups too, like Razer OSVR, Fove VR, StarVR, Virtuix Omni, Gloveone, ARAIG, STEM, vrAse, etc.

I've been into speed runs too, since last summer.

My interests lately haven't changed. Focused on the same things I was 3 years ago because I'm at the 'finish line', so to speak.

Obsessed with pretty female elves. The tall kind. With blue eyes. And gorgeous smiles and hands. I've actually met a handful. I thought they were as real as unicorns but it turns out they exist.

I seem to recall dating an elf in high school.

Motorbikes, and modified cars. The first resulting from the cost of the second.

Did you see that Super Metroid speed run with like 3 different people racing? Nearly the most tactical I've ever seen...

Learning how to code so that I can create an app. Im tired of being forced to work with the brainwashed simpletons (the majority)

Also Im giving myself a goal to reading 1 book a day.

No, I'll watch it and get back to you. Mostly I've just been watching adgq runs and whatever pops up. Watching TASs is also interesting. The only one I sat with multiple people was super monkey ball, which was pretty cool.

Which platform and what tools are you using?

I want to do that now. It sounds unachievable but so tempting at the same time that I'm finding that random INTP motivation spike up...

I'm about to try my hand at running a gaming clan, complete with socially engineering group cohesion and designing of training regimes. Nothing actually serious (it's targeted at newer players or ones that have had difficulty improving), but interesting to actually apply oneself to none the less.

Edit: token disclaimer of follow-through likelihood being suspect.

@Mention of VR and pretty elves.. *gets on bandwagon* ^^

Most lately, I've been interested in the fine structure constant, Japanese watercolor painting techniques, and the psychology of the unconscious.

I average about 200 pages a day which is converted to about 3 books a week.

I don't watch TV in the day at all. I Netflix and YouTube past midnight.
