There are cognitive setups/ thinking styles that don't require you to take pride or like/ dislike things about yourself. For instancing focusing on goals, achieving what you find valuable or improving your skills because you find mastery pleasing. Being happy we achieved something, but no feelings of being proud.

Using a different cognitive setup avoids you being played along by your own feelings of wounded pride or growing a sense of being better than others. Because these things are irrelevant/ not in focus then. It's not about being a robot, just about thinking differently. But we learn from a very young age to be embarrassed when we're wrong, to compare ourselves to others and to be proud of ourselves when we accomplish whatever the adults thought good at the time (-> if your reply was in relation to mine, if not disregard this).

I was talking to someone else, so I was surprised to see a response from you; but thank you for investing time in one. :D But it doesn't seem to address what I was addressing. I guess you were addressing what you thought I was addressing from the angle of the thing you thought I was addressing, but since I was addressing someone else and something else, then no wonder I am as confused as likely i have just left you from my address.

Plus, uh, thanks for sharing about your enormous attributes. If you have something so large to contribute, it's likely to be uncomfortable to keep something so immense under wraps. :phear: Sometimes size doesn't matter, but in other cases size generates more sighs.

it with a delightful arrogant cherry on top.

Don't forget the whipped scream.

... I was talking about how the discussion was about preferences and instead it became exclusively about processes for you to the degree you seemed dismissive of preferences in general. But forget it, I've been down this road a few times before and it never led anywhere productive.

In the future people will have tests in which to determine if you are human or AI. The first question that will be asked will be "What is your favorite aspect about yourself".

Human Answer: My {}.
Robot Answer: I do not believe I have a favorite aspect. I view myself as a complex entity who has many qualities that are wonderful in each of their own ways that each have their own histories and memories. I am a well rounded machine capable of many things who has and will continue to change. How could I possibly reduce all that I am and all that I value about myself into a single meaningless point without context?

Yeah, I forgot you were a robot and have no personal internal response to the external world; it's all merely about concrete benefits.

Do you feel anything when you interact with anything? Any internal response that you can't explain or justify? Something that merely shows a preference? Do you have a food that you like more than another? Or a food you dislike? That's a "preference." It shouldn't be hard to find SOMETHING.

Orange is useful for hiding in pumpkin patches.

Benefits are preferences. My goals and what I am trying to obtain is a preference. How I am trying to obtain that goal is a preference. What do you mean I don't have preferences?

I was referring to the concept of favorite. Are you just joining in with me in the trolling? I was going to push back but now I am not sure you are ready for my mighty blow. I know how sensitive you can be.
