Uh, okay. Well, I don't know what to do about him. Sure, he's an INTP. I don't know him though, I don't even know how you're acting towards him, that might be a factor as well. so I can't really tell you why he acts as he does.

Haha there's nothing wrong about being independent. I was just saying this because it's strange to me.. and INTP saying to an Infp she's too independent.. it's not a typical thing for an intp to say,considering intps are extremely independent!
And he said it like it was a bad thing, he maybe lacks attention! :P

Probably, INTP's are notoriously bad at saying emotional things straight out (I'm just talking through my own experience as an INTP and what I've read)
Him suddenly 'lashing out' and saying you're too independent, is probably because he wants some attention, like you said.
