What would you do?

[Absurdity]

Hello everyone. First time posting.

I'm in a tricky situation at the moment and I was hoping my fellow INTPs for advice.

I am looking at the possibility of taking the semester off. I have a few options, and I would appreciate any thoughts regarding them.

The first option is to try and get an internship. I have applied to a few places and reached out to alumni but no bites. I have a family member who is well connected in my field of interest who might be able to help me out, but it isn't a sure deal.

Another option is to travel. I have a bit of money saved up that I wouldn't mind spending on a horizon-broadening journey. I also have a family member that lives in a not sketchy party of Mexico that I could potentially stay with. This way I would be able to perfect my Spanish and hopefully have a lot of time to write and flirt with Mexican women.

Another option is to stay home and get a job-job, like at a coffee shop or something. This makes the most financial sense, but I have already been at home all summer and it is driving me crazy.

There may be other options I haven't thought of, and I am open to suggestions

I actually just quit drinking recently, but I appreciate the offer.

And South America is definitely on the table. I actually know someone in Peru.
