What kind of knowledge do you collect?

I guess many INTPs can describe themselves as information junkies (or I am making a vast generalization based on my own experiences). What kind of information junkie are you? Personally, I am very much into cars and guitars/basses. Not so much working on them, but simply knowing about them. Specifications, models, engines, transmissions, etc. I just find myself hoarding information which only comes out in random car banter with some other car nerd. Same with guitars/basses (except I am much happier to work on a guitar/bass than a car). I just hoard somewhat impractical knowledge of the instruments, though it has come in handy. Types of wood, pickups, wiring, etc.

So what are you hoarding in your noodle?

And on an unrelated note, does anyone else find themselves using excessive parenthesis to discuss additional thoughts that are somewhat irrelevant?

Discuss.

I hoard only tangible wealth.
The web hoards for us all the information we need. Theres no point in remembering useless stuff (but go ahead if it brings you joy).

I even stopped hoarding books long time ago. Now I buy only the ones I really like to read or that look good in my bookcase. I am looking forward to read the rest on e-ink paper :)

So what are you hoarding in your noodle?
Information that is relevant to my interests. Also information that I absorb from my environment. It's hard to do a memory dump on what I know, but if you provide a context, I'd be able to dispense.

And on an unrelated note, does anyone else find themselves using excessive parenthesis to discuss additional thoughts that are somewhat irrelevant?

Yea(although the in-text is not necessarily irrelevant(but they can go on tangents that lead to topics away from the current one), sometimes my thought processes are just too complex and require parenthesis(or the use of 'slashes' denoting connotations, associations and/or 'and/or') to get my point across).

I have the silly feeling that, sometime in my life, the world will collapse and I must be prepared with knowledge for it. So I learn things that could be useful, anything I can. I'm not obsessive about it though, its just a driving scenario in my head.

eg.
soap-making
blacksmithing
archery
swordsmanship
explosives
chemistry
construction
firearms
etc

I tend to go on info-binges. MBTI has been my focus recently, although I think I've mostly tapped that out for now.

Perhaps the most telling are my D&D binges, during which I submerge myself in rules, strategies, lore, builds, and whatever else. Eventually I create a few interesting characters. Of course, I then move on to something else without finding a group or even playing a single game. In fact, I've never played a game of D&D in my life.

First off, evrything. I feel like specifying takes away from the fact that I just have a lust for information.

To specify
Philosophy - I used to love more than now to learn new ideas and take them apart, make them stronger, turn them around, and just mess around with ideas. Then I found a field dedicated to this. Love at first sight.

Technolgy - the possibilities combinations innovation intuitive ideas and philosophies of new technologies continues to blow my mind time and time again. I absolutely love learning about the new advancements and features of new computers phones tablets cars etc. And then learning to make them a new feature in my life for gained efficiency.

Humanity - Mine yours and everything else in between. The intricaies of the human brain the power of smell on memory, the various emotions and their effect on behavior. From biology to psychology, I am never quite tire of improving my understanding of people.
