A big part of it would be something like this:
It's a thing that makes people happy in general though – being immersed in something, being in a state of flow, feeling that one has mastery over a craft or a subject. My subject is applied mathematics, so for me it would be something like writing algorithms. Translating some mathematical concept into a computer program, making it efficient, clever and beautiful. Envisioning all the different parts of the algorithm, down to the level where you know how the machine pushes data in and out of memory, how the processor performs the computations, how the information is encoded in bits and so on.

But that in itself is not enough, though. I am very much a believer in the Aristotelean concept of Eudaimonia, along with the notion of arete. It means development as a human being in all aspects – intellectually, mentally, emotionally, morally, socially, physically, and so on.

ah, i am searching for this answer myself. i can say what i have learnt it is / it is not for me:

- corporate job is not happiness as its too rigid and not playful - need a better purpose
- more play in my life
- small circle of close people
- more time spent on my own things / interests (i used to be a major false extrovert and people pleaser)
- accepting who i am and my flaws
- picking which flaws i care enough about to change given other goals
- cutting out the non essentials (fashion, pop culture, some social media)

The greatest happiness is to scatter your enemy, to drive him before you,
to see his cities reduced to ashes, to see those who love him shrouded in tears,
and to gather into your bosom his wives and daughters.

Someone had to say it
