What do you learn from lurking on other MBTI forums?

Any of you guys lurk in other MBTI forums? What did you learn from there?

Anyways. I'll start. I'm lurking at two forums lately:

INTJ - I think they're on to us! There can be only one type that will rule this world and it ain't J.
ENFP - Their relationship forum have sub-forums  Anyways, there's a resident INTP there so you could study how we could interact with ENFP's.

I haven't frequented other MBTI forums very much I'm afraid.

INTJ Forum, quite a lot of ISTJ 18-25ish males who have grown up with the internet and whose intolerance and narrow mindedness is less visible because they fit in with the current zeitgeist. A lot of black and white thinking in general, they seemingly have to polarize... underlying tertiary Fi coupled with inferior Se=sense of right+childish assertion methinks. Avg IQ clearly lower than here.

INFJ Forum, lots of hugs and kisses and ISFJ's in disguise, not so much more.

Rest: playgrounds where those who learn best from socializing may do well to participate in order to get a grasp of what MBTI is and how it is viewed. That is initially, once a certain level has been reached there's nought to learn because the level of understanding is low.

Edit: change have to haven't, was a typo

INTP forums can be like a sieve for information. For instance, the other day I came across Julia Galef who has some interesting ideas (many of which probably will not be new to many). So much more interesting than the useless links that you ordinarily might find elsewhere.

Precisely, this is exactly correct.

Yes! You've recognized it just right. There's also a lot of ENFX's there too I think.

Again exactly.

We seem to have curiously placed ourselves at the top of the pile. I'd like to add a few things about our forum:

--Plenty of Ni-doms who don't masquerade as INTPs, but rather accept their type and come here anyway; I'm surprised because the differently typed forums exist so that like-minded groups can exist.
--Only two Sensors of whom I know, them being Montresor and the Last of the V-8 Interceptors (whose handle escapes me at the moment)
--Plenty of love-hate with inferior Fe and social awkwardness, myself included.
--A very chilly atmosphere.

But I digress.

If you want to observe largely southern and midwestern conservative ISTX males in their natural habitat, then look no further than my old forum: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php

Its purity of type is remarkable! :)

BS. The INTx who will rule the world will be the one who actually begins and completes tasks.

ENFP - Their relationship forum have sub-forums  Anyways, there's a resident INTP there so you could study how we could interact with ENFP's.[/QUOTE]

Sub forums? Like... Missionary, Anal, and Why is She Crazy?

Meh, been around the INTJ forums - nothing ever learned near as much as around here.
Been around the ENTP forums, as much as I'd hate to say, nothing goes anywhere.
Hard to find any other forums , but nothing ever really relevant, so yeah I love the INTP home here, but agreed with Cherry Cola.

For the most part, most people seem to know their type (here, anyway) and it fits well.

I've been on a few different MBTI community sites a very limited amount of times.

I don't like the "I'm to good for you" attitude that is so frequently seen on XXTX forums. If you ask me I would say the majority of the members of these are shallow pricks who don't give a damn about what people actually have to say. Especially on the INTJ forum. As long as they can "prove" that they are smarter than you they don't care. Haven't been on any XXFX forums but I would guess that there would be a lot of trolls there.

I never thought of the Feeler--especially Fe-dom--forums as being ripe for the trolling, but now that you mention it, I agree. A sadist could get quite a thrill from the banshee screech of a religious ESFJ confronted with a journal-grade proof of ontological nihilism.

Something I noticed:
INTJ - major forum categories include 2 on dating: "Relationships and Dating" and "Gender and Attraction".
ENFP - major forum categories include 2 on general relationships: " - Eros: Relationships" and "Family Relationships".
INTP - nada. Only have "Human Relationships" at the bottom.

ISTJ - The. Most. Boring. People. On. The. Planet. They even know they're boring, and like it. The only thing that excites them is police protocol and memorizing sports statistics.

Once upon a time when I thought I might be an INFP (because The Internet thinks INTfemales don't exist) I poked around the INFP forum. Lots of avatars of Alex Gray art, Audrey Hepburn, and waterfalls and shit. I've only seriously lurked the INTJ forums mostly to arm myself in my dealings with INTJs (srsly, you need a strategy).

I believe that the older and more evolved INTJs are out there actually taking over the world or getting the validation they crave through their projects/goals. And that these forums are littered with wannabe-sociopaths-who-aren't-actually-INTJs and young INTJs who believe they are smarter than everyone else and enjoy both the circle jerk and the ritual pwning of their fellow "INTJs" (more validation-seeking/confirmation of superior intelligence).

I was fairly surprised by the spelling and grammar mistakes on that board. The INTJs I personally know are meticulous in their written communication. Overall I like INTJs but found their forums a bit bizarre.

Gotta admit that one of my favorite threads on the whole internet is on an INTJ forum. I present "How You See the 16 Types -- in GIF Form".

The INTJs didn't seem to understand the INTPs well. :/ And yes, my description should be accurate: I spent three years with them. :)

Why would you do that to yourself?

This is the first MBTI forum I ever visited, and I contemplated looking around INTJforum or INTPCentral but never actually got around to that. I rather like Personality Cafe though. Even on the NT boards there doesn't seem to be as much intelligent discourse as goes on here, but there's a bit more variety, for good and for ill.

I was eleven and looking for tech support for the video game associated with that forum; after I realized that one could debate there, I stayed until the N-S dichotomy caused my perma-banning.
