What do you do when tired? (e.g. after school or work)

Often when I come home from school I'm overly tired and am only capable to do things that doesn't acquire any energy (e.g. watching video's). However, I obviously strife to only do things that are indeed relevant...
If this is recognizable, then: How you do you deal with that?

I find that a great part of why I am so tired when I get home is that I allow myself to. If I know I have no plans for the rest of the day, I fall into tired mode. But if there is something I need to do, I don't focus on me being tired that much.

Other than that, book, interneting, seriesing, rest

Drugs.

No other way to keep up with an insane overworked schedule for prolonged periods of time...

My after work routine has usually consisted of having a snack, smoking a cigarette, and then having a cup of tea or glass of wine whilst perusing the internet.

I usually look forward to it all day.

Veh. Not telling.
Au contraire to Minuend's post, I find myself to be more tired as I am reminded of the things I need to do before the end of the day...
As for my relaxation attempt, I go on the Web, drink Starbuck products, and keep myself isolated.

Hm... Tired... When I'm sleepy, I sleep. Physically tired without sleepiness, I tend to just power down for about an hour or so. Not sleeping, but doing activities that require nothing at all, really.

Inside my mind
I am always tired, except in the rare instance that I gain some form of motivation and re-enter the world from my mind and achieve something. For the rest of the time, I sit there, unaware of passing time and the world around me, in my mind thinking.

This semester, I work from 8am to 10pm four days in a row. Each day, when I get home, I have dinner, check my email, maybe look around online, and then go to bed. During the day, when I get tired, I have some coffee because I have to keep working.

Agreed. Smoke a bowl and watch the world turn round.

You misinterpret me. It's not drugs for relaxation, but drugs to keep doing work/school. It is a never-ending life-consuming torture (fortunately this situation will be changed soon).

How is one supposed to survive a 20 hour work day, arriving home 10pm, totally exhausted, after being up since 6am, and then muster the mental and physical power to continue to work 4 more hours, and then sleep 4 hours and repeat, for weeks? Only with performance enhancing pharmaceuticals. Better slavery through chemistry!
