Let's play a game.
Guess my type correctly off of the 10 hints that I list and I will give you the most scrumptious, most beautiful digital cookie you've ever laid eyes on....

haha I'm just kidding. I don't have any cookies :p, especially not any scrumptiously beautiful ones... I mean, I wish...

I'm just curious to see If I have typed myself correctly after all the agonizing hours and hours and hours of reading about the types and functions that I relate with most. AGAIN, just kidding, I actually really enjoy learning about MBTI and myself, but I need a second opinion. :auburn: Could you help me out?

___________________________________________________________

1: When I was younger, I was extremely active and imaginative. I always needed to be doing something whether it be kicking a ball outside or drawing all over my mothers magazines in my mattress fort. I was very competitive in track too. I never really needed to play with other kids but I enjoyed it a lot when I did have friends around. Now that I'm older though, I'm less physically active and more mentally active, if that makes sense??? I still enjoy going outside for walks and dancing a little bit here and there, but I'd prefer to be seated in front of my computer, drawing or watching conspiracy videos. I also don't necessarily need to be around other people (Sometimes I prefer not to) but I find it enjoyable when I am around people I like and feel comfortable with.

2: I prefer visuals and verbals over books and articles. For example, when in class, I'd learn more when the teacher would talk and show us how to do things rather than if I had to write notes and read textbooks. I failed my year 11 Social Studies class in high-school because mid-year, my teacher decided to leave. We were left with correspondence work and I became disinterested. This doesn't mean that I'm not intelligent or not hardworking, it just means I get bored easily and once I'm bored, I'll move onto something that'll keep my attention.

3: I have opinions on (almost) everything and usually have no problem voicing them (At appropriate times of course.) I wont be afraid to disagree with someone. If their point of view doesn't match mine, I won't get offended or butt-hurt, but I also wouldn't agree with them just to fit in and be liked.

4: I have this thing where I can't help but correct people when I know they're wrong. Some people are usually taken aback by this, while some people just get plain annoyed with me. I can't help it. For example, my sister will be singing a song but lets say she gets the lyrics wrong. I know for sure that she got them wrong so I butt in to tell her the right lyrics and expect her to sing the lyrics properly from then on.

5: I believe in the saying, "Once a cheater always a cheater." I believe that if even the thought of cheating crossed someone's mind at some point, then it's bound to come back again. If you were willing once, wouldn't you be willing again if the chance came up? Even if you say you've changed, I'll always find it hard to believe and doubt you for every second. It's just how I am.
In other words, betray me once and there'll be no second chances.

6: I am very detail oriented and often come off as a bit obsessive when it comes to perfection. My art teacher laughed when I first started expressionism. She told me I had to loosen up and try to not make everything look so perfect. Indeed, I have learned to be more expressionistic in my paintings but in a perfectionists way. I memorized how various artists painted, made them facts and incorporated their techniques into my work. This artist used a lot of complimentary colors so I shall use a lot of complimentary colors. This artist worked with different textures so I shall work with different textures. This artist used messy brush strokes so I shall use messy brush strokes. I was trying to perfect expressionism, which sounds weird and is weird.:smoker:

7: I'm usually seen as cold and/or super reserved. Not necessarily in a mean, dangerous way either. More like, oh she seems nice but she also seems like she won't answer back in the conversation because we're not close. My teacher once told one of my friends, while she thought I wasn't listening, that I am so cold I could freeze fire. (Or something like that.) It was kind of offensive but also kind of funny that even my teacher thought I was cold. I'm also socially awkward. lol.:storks:

8: I take a long time to become close to people. And I mean a LONG time. I prefer to take things slow and I am very picky with who I become close with. It took me a year and a half to actually feel comfortable around one of my now close friends. He's super loud and dorky and It was overwhelming at first but now it actually makes my school life a bit more entertaining.

9: I like to always be well groomed and presentable when in the public eye (Because I care what other people think of me) but that also means that I expect everyone else to be presentable too. Now I know you don't have to comb your hair and that it's your choice not to do so but would it hurt if you did? I know of someone who was always applying for jobs and getting interviews but never actually got the job and at the back of my mind, I know this is going to sound harsh, but I think that maybe they would've gotten the job if they dressed appropriately and tidied their hair up a little bit for the interview???

10: I am very in touch with my senses. Smells, sight, sound. The whole shebang. When walking into a different atmosphere, I always take note of how it smells or how the rug matches the couch or how the music in the background makes me feel. I go through all these senses and take in my surroundings wherever I go, deciding whether I like it or not. This also applies to my love of the arts. I like to paint, draw, sculpt, do crafts, listen to music, sing, dance, write stories every now and then, draw comics. I mean, the list goes on. I also love outdoor-sy things like camping, hiking, kayaking etc. even though I'm a homebody.
____________________________________________________

So can you type me? I mean there's more things that I could list but I feel like this post is already long enough?? Maybe too long?? sorry....
Anyways, I hope you guys type me the same as I have typed myself. I'm about 89% sure about what type I am but like I said, I need a second opinion~!!!!

This feels like a trap to get people to help you find your type.

Welcome Irinu. :D I don't know what type you are (I did read it all) but man I'd like to crumble a beautiful cookie all over some ice-cream right now.

Reveal what you think your type is at some point!

*edit
Wait, Iririnu? I'm having some trouble with words. I can't see your name properly.

An interesting introduction for once ...

1 indicates probable dominant Sensing
2 indicates something other than Ti, probable Te, and also a bit of S
3-5 indicate external Judging (so XXXJ)
6 indicates dominant or auxiliary Si
7 indicates dominant T, with an ISTJ or INTJ flavor but we'll take ISTJ
8 indicates dominant I, so we're at ISTJ at the moment
9-10 is pure ISTJ with the expectations of self and others, and the attention to sensory detail

ISTJ.

ISTJ's are one of the more 'type definite' Types. Easy to spot usually, they stick out like knives in the Teddy Bear collection. I didn't write down all the observations I could have made but your very detailed (another clue) exposition bleeds ISTJ all over the floor.

^Wow, ISTJ? If I were forced to guess (what you've come to think your type is, not necessarily your actual type) I'd go with ExFP, ExTP, ISFP or INFJ (accounting for the Se issues). We're on totally opposite ends here.

Here're my thoughts:
I'm thinking Ne or Se in your higher stack because of how bouncy and bubbly your writing is, and your mentions of needing activity (physical or mental) and visuals, not being able to pay attention to long text, getting bored easily and being very imaginative.

Being long-winded is also something I've found most often with ENxPs. There's an info-dump but it's not so much dry detail as it is communicating energy/abundance/personality. Abundance (bursting with stories, energy, and in Ne's case depth and breadth, which comes from its webby thinking) and appetite (curiosity, hunger for activity, experience, knowledge) are two features of dom Ne/Se. Excessive exclamation/question marks lean towards energy/abundance as well, but it might just be a matter of being young (dunno your age).

Perfectionism is also something I've found in Ne doms who have healthy self-esteem in that area. They tend to have very high standards and feel terrible if they fail to meet them, so they strive for perfection both because they want it and to avoid the self-reprimanding. There's a judgemental attitude they take towards their work/themselves.

Perceiving oneself as 'socially awkward' while still being generally social is something I see in Ne doms. I guess because N is one step removed from direct reality, so they often get it a little bit off and feel somewhat out of sync with others, but that's what can make them quirky or interesting (or super weird and uncomfortable). However because they're extraverts and 'energy/abundance/appetite' types, they are still social on the whole, if healthy.

The details in physical environment and wanting to be well-groomed I can't narrow down easily. These are things I've seen in many different types; can't be narrowed down to a few functions in common. I'd rule out INTP though (unless this is some sort of test).

Also you have an F feel (specifically Fi). It's not because of perceived warmth exactly, it's just the way you talk about things. I guess it seems idiosyncratic without any real focus on being detached, rational, etc which is what Ti would feel like. You mentioned being seen as 'cold' but that was a small detail in a sea of interactions with other people (present in almost every point), and Fi can easily come across cold. There was little mention of an inner mental/analytical life (Ti - also this does *not* mean you don't think; I'm just struggling to find the right words), or a focus on projects/planning (Te). You're opinionated and somewhat brash about it, which is something I usually see more with Fi (which also has Te) than Fe. A high Fe type is generally more circumspect; there might be less about mouthing off and more about *how* to mouth off. This could just be a matter of age though.

You've mentioned some typically I things like taking a long time to feel comfortable with another. I don't take this as ruling out E though, as many I behaviours can be the behaviour of an E too, especially when it comes to caution around opening up, true vulnerability, trust and so on. These have less to do with E/I than they do with other factors. In my opinion a typical E response is more conclusive than some typical I responses. You really enjoyed having friends over as a kid with no qualifier, so I feel comfortable lowering the probability on the really hardcore I types (like any I+T - they tend to be more obviously I because they're less social/people-oriented by nature as well as needing to recharge by being alone).

I've give some moderate possibility to being ISFJ. Details, sensory focus (Si) with social judgement/awareness.

The sensory focus I could also attribute to INFJ, as Ni doms tend to be heavy on that. You didn't mention sensory overload though, or needing to retreat to your head, which would be a sign of it being inferior Se.

Overall though I'd give much more weight to P as the majority of your post focused on experience (activities, thoughts, feelings, preferences) rather than production focused on an end product (Te/Fe), or the development of philosophies/'laws' around production (dom Ni/Si).

Anyway, so that brings me to 7 moderately likely types, with only a couple ruled out, and still open to the possibility of others. This is why I didn't really want to guess. There isn't really enough info.

Gun to my head I'd say ENFP. But if it were just a water gun I'd say I don't know. It's only one post and I don't know you irl. There's still a lot of stuff missing from even my best guesses.

I'd lay the strongest probability to ExFP (for the strong Pe dom and moderate idiosyncratic Fi feel) or ISFP (Se for the strong sensory/detail focus and moderate Fi feel) I can't easily see INFP for some reason. I'd lean ENFP over ESFP, but this is likely because I have more experience with Ne doms than Se doms.

It's odd that you're asking here though if you're not an INTP - unless you're asking on all forums.

S obvious, J obvious, T deduced from lack of empathy. I, but uncertain how strongly. So: ISTJ. Not exactly hard, given your descriptions.

Gimme the digital cookies of all the people who complained about 'em.

I'm not interested in your cookies, especially not after you've described them as "scrumptiously beautiful".

Why do I feel like you think you're INTP? I didn't read any of your hints though, only those above. If you don't think you're INTP, I question what you're doing here. If you think you're INTP, I implore you to think again.

'Cuz you wanna be a dick?

If you don't think you're INTP, I question what you're doing here.

He's in the correct subfourm for his request.

INTPf isn't INTP exclusive. Makes me sad at times, although I'm not sure there's any realistic alternative. Any kind of criteria for INTP exclusiveness, would inevitably lead to the kind of forum toxicity you're espousing here, in even greater measure. "You're not INTP enough for me!!"

So, lately I've been flat up asking / demanding whether people are INTP, if it's relevant to some point of discussion. I used to think "Wow, INTPs sure are a diverse lot!" when I got here. Then eventually I realized wait, a lot of people's opinions can be explained if they're not INTP at all.

Bvanevery: ISFP.

Me? You've gotta be kidding. If you meant Iririnu, @Bvanevery: would be a slightly clearer way of indicating that you're talking to / directing a comment at me. Although still not clear. Well, I'll wait for you to declare what you meant. I do think Iririnu's clues indicate he's T, not F.
