Ubermensch sounds a lot like the "sigma male". It's also a bit of a narcissistic romanticized idea. Of course, people would romanticize being better and more independent than the "mob", but where's the wisdom in it? An unwise Ubermensch sounds like a giant narcissist...

But I will not argue for or against this. It's just what immediately comes to mind.
