Typing should hypothetically be doable to a quite accurate degree by analysing a typical sample of text created by someone. This is assuming language production comes from extroverted judgement.

Is the language
- qualitative/summarising or quantitative/descriptive (P vs J)
- flowing/inconclusive or rigid/conclusive (p vs j)
- figurative/abstract or literal/straightforward (Ni vs Si)
- absolute/factual or relative/opinionated (Te vs Fe)

[not to say for example that the Te expression isn't opinion loaded, but the expression is as though it were factual]

(note: difference between say, INTJ and ESFP is that one is quantitative and the other is qualitative, leading to possible total backwards interpretation of information if you get this bit confused)

Does this sound about right?

I'll try some examples or someone else can.

I tried to use this to type Victor Hugo, but in practice, it's not as simple as you seem to make it out to be. Perhaps it's just that Hugo has a quite complex writing style, which has multiple different "voices" which each fill a different "Type" For example, when he goes to discuss political or social matters, his voice is more figurative, however in his narrative or if he discusses historical matters, his voice is much more literal.

Well if an INTP was explaining how to do something wouldn't he let you in on the details?

It's quite difficult.

Probably, impossible.

We communicate in different manners in different companies and topics.

Socionics proposes something similar with its Reinin dichotomies which one can theoretically speaking determine from text that the person has written. I am not sure how well this works in practice.

And don't forget many writers can put themselves in the shoes of other people. So if they're writing a lot of dialogue it could be hard to tell. Or if they were writing in first person they may be writing in the style they believe thier character to posses, seeing it through their character's eyes.
