No, it also accepts links to forum threads, so long as they aren't posted in a members-only section.

Apparently we seem quite INTJ.

Is there any information concerning how they determine the type? I assume it has to do with keywords, but I would like to know whether there are a cluster associated with each type or if it just measures which of the dichotomies are more pronounced.

Edit:
I have been collecting sample texts from blog text over the course of 2 years based on research about personality type and writing style. Jon Kågström, AI-developer and founder of uClassify, has used a naive bayesian classifier to run a statistical analysis of the texts thus creating a word frequency algorithm for the different functions.

This is also interesting.

The typealyzer is NOT to be confused with trying to figure out your type by doing a conventional type inventory such as the MBTI. This is about exploring social roles (or personas) that are expected to be different in different situations. The intention is to extend the research and look for emergent patterns in what interests people depending on their psyche rather than their demographics (e.g. news stories, brands, pieces of entertainment, web pages etc).

Cool link. It'd be awesome if you could just copy and paste the text you want analyzed though and not need a link.

I'm skeptical, it returned ISTP for someone who is most certainly an ENFJ.

Its assessment of the Google blog was spot-on (ENTJ), but apparently my obviously NT friend is an ESFP.

I tried a range of different posts from many people and the most frequent return was INTJ, next was ISTJ.

Interesting.

I wonder quite how it is worked out. I did a couple of my posts. I assume it takes only the first post.

I got INTP twice and ISFP once.

I wonder though. Opening posts I usually on pose questions, not really argue my case and my points. If it read my arguments, would it change to a J?

The ISFP one... I may or may not be INTP but I am cetainly not ISFP. The content of the post, however, was particularly dealing with personal relationships and homelessness.

EDIT: after finding how to put the post number, I got INTJ for a short argument I selected.

Most of the stuff I put in was INTJ, except some some lyrics and other unusually formatted blocks of text which were all over the place (INTP, ISTJ, ISFJ, ESTJ)

My old, boring blog about synthesizers and stuff came up as ESTP, probably because a lot of it was tutorials and such.
