Hi!

I'm pretty new to this MBTI Stuff and only recently discovered I MAY be an INTP.
Occasionally I also score as an INTJ or once even as an ISFJ! But about 80% of the time I score as an INTP.

But if you look at my stats, you'll notice I'm not a "pure" INTP:
I = 76% ; E = 24%
N = 56% ; S = 44%
T = 50% ; F = 50%
P = 61% ; J = 39%

So what does that mean? Does that mean I could as well be a hidden ISFJ, INFT, ISFT, INTJ, ISTJ, etc. ? :confused:

I'd be glad if some expert over here could help me!

Also, that test you have taken is crap. Read up on the cognitive functions. After a while, you will be just as confused as you are now.

Well, you will know what dominant functions you DO NOT use. I know I don't have Si, Se or Ne for instance (as dominant).

MBTI is a system of classification, nothing more, there aren't 16 definitive/distinct different types of people, it's just a way of making it easier to predict psychological trends that's mainly used by psychologists to help them quickly gain some insight into the subjects' manner of thinking.

The more you understand MBTI the less applicable it is to you.
Self awareness is a bitch like that ;)

Well, good to hear avatars dont matter here, but the one I used could have sparked some political issues (especially in other forums). So it was pretty insensitive from me.

I did suspect that this whole test is rather inexact, in particular because it is so confusing. But reading the characteristics I found I can relate to them pretty much, though not to all of course. May be a horoscope-like-scam...

Is there any possibilty to take a serious test? Is there a serious test at all? (Must be...)

This, accept that it may be a while before there's any period of certainty or evidence for it. It's best to just consider typing a long-term goal while you occasionally introspect to see which type mold you fit into and which functions represent you.

Of course it'd be too good to be true if one could suddenly know everything about oneself.

But the reason my stats are almost 50/50 also has some kind of meaning, no?

Depends on how high your standards are ^^. Mine are high, so yeah, I have the feeling I suck. But I do get compliments and admiration.
