I would have liked to see some better refutation of the points he was making (rather than getting upset and crying 'troll!!1" due to his tone - this is no matter to get defensive about). He was probably fighting a losing battle from the start given the audience, but I'm sure it has reached, or will reach some.

I never cried troll, I think he was genuine. But I also think he was a complete tool, like many other because I didn't like his attitude but also because of his opinion.

In my opinion (no pun intended) I think that opinions and attitude can't be separated like you want to "caring more about the presentation than the content" they are interwoven. Your opinion is formed of your attitude and your attiude is a result of your opinion, vice versa (on them both)

So no, I didn't care more about the presentation than the content, I cared equally much for them both.

I don't know if my criticisms applied to your posts (cbf seeing which they were ;D), but if you don't like the presentation, can't you just ignore that aspect? If the same message had been put forward in a different way would you have been more receptive?

Do you care more about Nils presentation than his/her content? =)

I wouldn't haved expected such an attitude.

Explain my error, if you may. I don't see the parallel.

I don't think you're criticism was directly at me since I never said he was trolling, but I thought he was an ass and one reason being that I thought him and his attitude was obnoxious. But like I said, I can't just ignore one of them I think they are interwoven, so it's a plain "no" for you question.
And yes, I would have been more 'receptive' if he was less ignorant and didn't have the whole "My way is the only way anything else is useless and dumb.. If you disagree you'll soon realise I was right because you know deep inside that I'm right" I mean wtf is that shit? He literally said something like that several times. But either way I wan't have 'recieved' his point anyway, I disagreed with his philosophies and thoughts.

Explain my error, if you may. I don't see the parallel.
Error? I never said you made an error, I guess I thought you were being a little hypocritical. Little is the keyword, because looking back at your post I think I read it a little quickly.

I agree with Artsu Tharaz. I was increasingly perplexed as to why people kept putting more and more of their emotions into a debate that had some interesting content. I've met and befriended (and am still friends with) and was one of those people who devoted their LIFE to their Internet community, and I've still got friends who still do the same thing. And despite not knowing a lot of people on this site to the extent that would be relevant, I have read many an anti-social remark on this site that has quite frankly, and quite consistently, made me frown. Often times they were said in jest but it seemed to indicate the attitude the forum shared towards the outside world. Often times new comers join and in their opening post begin discussing their distaste for the general populace (which always translated for me to the 'Real World'). And OBVIOUSLY if this post doesn't apply to many or any of you then I didn't intend it for you. The message I would have liked for people to agree on is that it isnt healthy for anyone to substitute the real world with the Internet.
