I wanted to bring this band to your attention, The Tiger Lillies are certainly very interesting to listen to. They have a very long history (formed 1989) and they managed to release 35 albums up to this date. All of their albums always carry a theme or a certain story (Hamlet, Woyzcek, The Little Match Girl, Rime of the ancient Mariner, etc.), to which they add their particular "charm".
They perform cabaret music, but what mostly defines them is the singer's voice. Martin Jacques usually sings with a very distinctive falsetto and his lyrics are usually quite disturbing. He sings about prostitutes, rape, murder and other macabre themes. On the other, they have a lot of beautiful songs that can be considered relatively normal to the casual listener.
They often do theater plays as well. I am a massive fan and I've been to around 10 live shows of theirs and I can say it's always a treat to see them on stage, because they rarely have a set list of songs to play and they improvise very often and always take requests from the audience.

They are also really nice off stage, they always shake hands with their fans, take photos and you can always have a beer with them afterwards
