The premise of the manga is that international diplomacy is settled on the mahjong table, with real-life politicians depicted as masters of mahjong. The Japanese title is a parody of Junichiro Koizumi's slogan, "Reform with no Sanctuary" (聖域無き改革, Seiiki Naki Kaikaku?).[1]

I am wtfing at everything in this. I'm currently at the part where Vladimir Putin battles Richard Wagner. This stuff completely blows my mind. Just wow. And it doesn't even suck! There are so many references to actual events, the man clearly knows what he's doing. It seems like the LSD hallucination of a bored political journalist or something like that.



PS: Is it just me or does Tymoshenko look a lot like Beatrice in the manga?

This man made the bleeding Pope epic. I've not seen such an epic rendition of Genesis ever. The best part about this manga is that it doesn't take itself seriously, goes over the top and totally pierces the heavens, like all good manga with massive amounts of manliness. There is a little bit of fanservice, but not enough to be annoying. Isolde panstu shot <3

I am guessing the references to Tymoshenko being a witch in the manga might be a bit of a shout out to Umineko. They even have roughly the same hairstyle.
