"With regard to the J - absolutely not. I am not at all a quick or decisive decision maker. I spend hours at times meandering through the grocery store attempting to optimize the best combination of groceries to use throughout the week. I am better now because I tend to only buy for a few days at a time which allows me to get out of the store a lot faster! LOL"

This is very INFJ and very INJ in general - Ni is an internal perception, so a lot of external information has to be taken and then synthesized into the internal perception before a truly satisfying decision is made. This takes a really roundabout process so it takes a long time. The necessity of doing this and not being willing to make a spontaneous decision is very J and IJ in particular.

"in essence, because of the level of thymos present in my thinking may give rise to the conclusion that I am Fe, when in fact I am Ti "

Both INFJs and INTPs have both Ti and Fe. I know this is an obvious point, but types often have strong tertiary (3rd function), and INFJs are no exception. That you use Ti well doesn't make you any less likely to be an INFJ. However, because of your life path, you may have the NF valuing of Ti rationality (especially if it means developing your tertiary, which often feels like a process of maturing & expanding horizons).

As for mistyping: Even before I realized I mistyped I've noticed for a long time mistypes are really common in MBTI, even with the actual test. I mean, Ni and Ne are completely different functions, but if someone's P-J score tips from 49 to 51 suddenly they're determined to be an Ne instead of Ni user. Jung's cognitive functions are much more sophisticated than the current written test tools we have to access people's use of these nuanced functions, unfortunately.

Also, it sounds like you have some dislike of and stereotypes of J's (ex: " Ockham's Razor is a favorite catch-phrase often misappropriated by J-s for better ease in passing Judgment while seeming to be scientific about it"). Being J doesn't necessarily make you more judgmental or vindicative or pseudoscientific. It just means your perception (N-S) is internal and your judgment (F-T) external. This can be used to be very unjudgey or judgey - for example, an Fe-using J (FJs) who believe not being judgmental is the best way to maintain the external environment's emotional harmony.

I am an INFJ as well.

PS: INFJs are often quite intellectual and many of us use a lot of Ti...Academia screams Ni and Ti in general, and INFJs have both, so we do tend to get encouraged and rewarded into intellectual pursuits. Who else would make postmodernism, anyway? XD
