Normally spiders make my skin crawl and I can't watch this stuff, but this video was pretty cool, thank you. Although maybe we need an NSFW setting due to all the spider sexytime at the end.

You should consider yourself lucky, some large drab woman might have jumped you instead and sucked out all your insides.

Whoever posted all the giant zoom spider pictures at the bottom of the thread... I hate you. I almost dropped my laptop off the bed when I scrolled down.

I thought they were kind of cute. The first one looks like he's begging for a Cheeto. The last picture though, is that two hanging onto each other? I'd freak the fuck out if I saw that in person.

Yeah it is, they probably killed each other and were found like that or something...

Dammit. Not ANOTHER arachnid Romeo-Juliet suicide pact?? Sigh.

I have a feeling those people should get the fuck outta there.

Hell, I'm already gone!

To be honest, I'm an INTP guy and I'm not a big fan of spiders. I get scared that they could poison me!!!

spiders are for the most part non aggressive, and as far as venomous enough to kill a human...im fairly certain theres only a handful of em that could actually do the job.

besides...

We must have had a common ancestor with them but I couldn't find the fossil. You too could have been one.

That's what my logic says. The problem is that I have no idea how to differentiate the deadly ones, from the non-deadly ones. So just to be on the safe side, I generally just try to avoid spiders, no matter how cute and cuddly they appear to be!!

That's okay. Many species of spiders tend to be anti-social given their need for space and territory in building and maintaining a web.

A big reason we've been unable to farm spider silk in large quantities.
