Surreal Moments

Here I am sitting on my apartment balcony and just off to the left of me I can see other people (through windows and open doors) in their apartments and we've all got one thing in common, glowing screens. There's a few guys playing shooter games, someone doing work with a laptop, a few floors further down there's another gamer whose window is fogged up with what I can only assume is weed smoke, and here I am googling machinable wax recipes and making a forum thread.

It's a Saturday night and here we are.

Well if I was any good at organizing stuff I would be there as well. Well maybe not at your apartment as we impose a fair amount but somewhere! Man I really want to go swimming again. ^ this should be a totally unrelated thought but whenever I think of doing stuff I think of swimming.

However onto surreal moments. General outside with the stars in the rain (but still with room for stars) is where they happen the most for me. occasionally bizarre social situations.

Unsurprising. Sometimes I get it in my head everyone else is leading a fulfilling life, and only I'm missing out, but often enough it turns out it's not so. /biased self-absorption

That's kinda surreal, wouldn't really be my definition of it though. I bet it's peaceful and or soothing, though.
