Hello all. A few months ago I found out I was an INTP... and what it meant to be one. The world seems to make so much more sense. I was relieved to find out others shared my strange combinations of habits and traits. I started analyzing all my friends and acquaintances I've had over the years... and our relationships also seemed to make much more sense in the context of our personality traits (why some worked and others didn't etc).
Been lurking around here and procrastinating on signing up (which doesn't seem to be too uncommon). But I finally felt like the time was right to get out and interact with some of my people.
A little about me. I'm in my mid 20's trying to figure out what to do with my life, I work a monotonous job that pays well, but I find it makes me feel like I'm wasting my time being bad at it, and spend a lot of it daydreaming about other random things. I'm trying to figure out what else I would like to do, but my INTP hatred of detail work / carrying things all the way through often gets in the way getting good enough at something to move up. I feel like a jack of all trades master of none.
I'm obsessed with music composition. I play guitar, and dabble in bass, drums, piano and singing as well as electronic composition. I also like mixing audio. I love the theoretical and improvisational aspects of music, but carrying a piece all the way through to completion is very difficult for me.
I have a blog here
and you can listen to some completed pieces here
