If there was a was a very powerful weapon that could break every atom in the universe, what do you think would happen? Would the remains gravitate back together and possibly create life again?

Suppose the remains did drift back together to create new life... would the radiation have some type of affect on the creation? It would create life but some grossly mutated form of life.

Don't forget "life" in its current state on this planet arose alongside and as a result of "gross mutations" and radiation bombardment!

My cosmology is pretty sketch but I'm fairly certain that there was a lot of radiation floating around post-Big Bang; yet somehow life managed to emerge out of that and arrived here on earth long before there was any kind of ozone or protection from cosmic rays.

Life, in short, is a tough little SOB. I would bet that if the universe restarted, it would somehow emerge again.

If earth evaporated
Would there exist life in the universe?

Would that even be possible? The amount of energy needed to split one atom is huge.

What do you mean "break"? Turn everything into hydrogen? If you did that in an instant it would be a hell of a bang and screw things up for sure.

Under what pretenses would we be able to assume that it's mutated. If those circumstances were able to create intelligent life forms they would look upon us a mutated and weird. Seeing as it would evolved from an what we would call a corrupted condition the idea of mutation would actually level itself out and become normal.

Hence could we really consider it mutated if that law applied throughout the universe?
