While posting in the 5 Favorite Artists thread it occurred to me that lately I've been listening to music that's not popular. Just interesting people I've found via YouTube/Soundcloud.

My favorite by far is Immensus. Listening to his music is like being enveloped in a cloud of happiness and sweet dreams, even his darker tunes.

My favorite (and the most popular is "Beautiful Girl.") My goodness...

I'm a huge Video Game Music nerd and amateur composer, so...

Jeff Ball
Composer/Performer (Violin) for about 2 dozen indie video game releases, and has done work for Lucas Arts, when it was still around. The work he did for various OCRemix.org projects, in particular, is outstanding.

Wilbert Roget II
Game and film composer, most recently on the sound team at Lucas Arts (RIP). One of the 5 composers responsible for the soundtrack to the recent MMORPG, Star Wars the Old Republic.

Zack Parrish
An incredibly prolific and diverse composer of game and film music, with several indie titles under his belt.

Dave Harris (Blitz Lunar)
An uber-talented electronic musician whose first full album, Triptunes hit #1 on bandcamp the day it was released. He doesn't have his own Soundcloud, so go here and here.

Shannon Mason (Pongball)
She makes some of the most masterful and nostalgic classic-videogame-styled music known to man. If you remember the sounds of your SNES with fondness, go here and be happy.

Project VGM
A huge collaborative project wherein a few handfulls of composers contributed 100 tracks in order to score a hypothetical RPG video game. The Soundcloud group is linked above, but the main site is easier to navigate and more informative. I contributed tracks 15 and 76.

Interesting music Rocco and Slacker_Assassin. I enjoyed Dave Harris (Blitz Lunar) the most from his list. I am more of a Drum&Bass listener, so I like fast beats, and sometimes I can enjoy some chill step.

Found a nice blind of what I like on Mr. Suicide Sheep's YouTube page.
