^I to enjoy the Birks. The question is: Socks or no socks?

Apple: You do have to wear special dressy shoes but you can wear your mucks over the top of them.
:phear:

Edit: I'm going! I'm going! I just stopped by for a minute...:o

Cavallier! Don't go! We need someone to stir the snakepit up a little.....

Amongst "civilisation": no socks. I do need to dampen my geekiness, as some people are already painfully aware of it. But sometimes I forget......I have worn black socks in black Birks, which is almost socially acceptable. At work. With the result of being called "German tourist" by my more fashion-oriented colleagues.

At home: Birks and socks in winter. There's just nothing more comfortable.

Did you know that Birkenstock is one of the leading neo-nazis in Germany?

Fucking utter BS. Of the kind perpetuated by retarded magazines and 'seduction' guides, that the gullible majorities easily tend to believe...

Some idiot must have written this on one of those stupid love advice columns or 15-things to do something stupid articles.. some 20 or 30 years ago and people keep regurgitating it since...

LOL. Agree. I guess apparently many women find expensive suits and expensive dress shoes hot on men. And sure a little class doesn't hurt. But to me metro men into expensive fashion screams: feminized, money and ego driven.

Cav you can be all the new fashion. Why don't you get a pair of those inexpensive stretch socks at the Dollar Store? Wear them over your boots and you can be the first to surprise people with the noise you make in socks.

I'm a girl. Shoes? Really, I never look. It's not important. I care more about a person's mind and how the act than I do clothes. Worrying about fashion is ridiculous. It simply doesn't mean anything.

My shoes on the other hand, consist of one pair of tennis shoes that are wearing out, and an old pair of sandals that are falling apart. I'm perfectly fine with it.

To me, shoes serve a specific purpose; to protect the feet. Although, I must agree with my wife, Sometimes you do need a pair of good looking shoes to go dancing in :D.

Shoes are usually the last thing a person without culture upgrades in their wardrobe.
Good shoes are expensive and there are usually 'better' things to spend money on.

Even if all women don't look at them; intelligent, sophisticated, and refined women do. So do employers.

If you want to be blue collar, don't worry about it.

I remember this vividly though it was a long time ago. The only time I put on a suit was to go to church. I condescended to put one on for the job interview. My interviewer was a screener and obviously not technical. He said I was, "A fine young man" and apparently approved of how I looked. Then he looked down at my shoes. I never forget his look of disapproval. I was wearing a pair of old beat up brown shoes.

Under the same logic, bodybuilders work on their calves last; they are not sexy.

I think men are more perverted in the area of footwear than anything. I can name 5 guys that I know who have foot fetishes. Is it every guy?

I'm a woman, I don't generally look at men's shoes. I hardly notice them.
Although I like a clean appearance (for myself), but I don't really care what anyone else looks like, just as long as they are clean and don't smell.

As far as boots go I like heavy black boots with buckles or laces, military style. They are so badass.
