any suggestions how to learn 'who am I?'
There are two popular ways to do so:
- Remember things about yourself, times when you were not struggling with a self identity but basically were distracted with something else. Infer statements about yourself from what you remember/what others tell about you.
This approach is used to make excuses about one's own behavior. "Oh I was so lazy today... but I'm always lazy, so it's okay, it's just WHO I AM."
.
- Go inside yourself and figure out what it is what you want to be doing, what would feel right to be doing right now. Do you want to "save the world" or do you want to leave a contribution behind when you die.
This approach is used to justify irrational behavior but also has the side effect of making you feel good.
Your original question can be by a stretch of imagination answered by one of these two approaches, but it doesn't mean that the answers ARE true answers to an otherwise nonsensical question.

for some weird reason, as every human being I need something called self identity; still not certain what this mean
In short: Self identity is a linguistic construct of a conscious brain, for use as a shortcut in most day-to-day decisions.
More involved: We don't repeat thought mental processes too often. E.g. if you're asked the same question several times, you will remember the answer in an effort to avoid a repeat energy drain from figuring it all out again.
First-order deduction is a logical step that requires very little effort. E.g.: A cat can purr, Tom is a cat, therefore Tom can purr. A self identity is a assertion about yourself and takes the form "I am <identity-fragment>.". Many identity fragments can coexist to build one whole identity. These fragments are used in the same way to subconsciously and immediately infer your next actions. E.g.:
I am a secretary,
secretaries forward calls,
therefore I am going to forward this call.
People love to read about themselves. Actually they love to read about things they self-identify with, to expand or fortify their own cage without having to change their identity, because if you hinged your action on an identity for too long, the investment will chain you as a slave to the identity and removal will be torturous.
Most humans, being lazy asses as you all know you are, strive to acquire a self identity to do less mental work in the future. You don't need one, in the sense that you can well survive and even be high-functioning without a self-identity.
