Was there any time where you all seemed more talkative than your usual selves?

If so, What was the reason, environment, mentality were you in when this happened?

Yes, though extroversion for me almost always comes with immaturity. I'm usually with a small group of friends having a non-serious discussion and my Ne goes crazy. Caffeine contributes greatly to this.

Very recently since most of my High Classes this year are small with groups of my fellow NT nerds causing me to switch from quiet and awkward to loud and random.

Comfort level has a lot to do with it.

Plus, a reminder, we may be INTP but we do have little bits of everything in there as well. When they pop up it's not really a cause for concern, although if you feel a sudden urge to sing something from Gilbert and Sullivan on a downtown street corner, do consider counseling. :)

Yeah, mostly when I was younger but I still do sometimes now. It all depends on who I'm with and such. The more comfortable I feel the more I relax my.... barriers(?).

For me, it usually requires a debate or conversation which is interesting. This includes everything ranging from philosophy, to a Mac vs. PC war.

When a conversation worth debate is present, the Extroversion becomes strong in this one.

I had extreme fits of hyperactivity/attention grabbing behaviour, but they seem to become less frequent and intense as time goes, yeah.

Usually I was at school and bored as hell, and with friends so I was comfortable enough to start screaming and running and all sorts of stuff.

But there's another kind of extroverted behaviour I sometimes suddenly get of which I don't really know where it comes from. I'll suddenly be able to make sharp comments and jokes constantly, pat people on the back, smile, stuff like that...

stimulants (including caffeine) make me more talkative/expressive.

i think stimulants sabotage Ti. Ti works best in a kind of sleepy state and stimulants kick you out of that. So other functions kick in, probably Ne and/or Fe? (for INTPs & ENTPs)

Comfort is key for me. My BFF I've known since I was 5 and I'm a talker when it's just us.

Like what people ahead of me have said, if I'm with people I feel comfortable with, I'm a lot more extroverted. I'm still an obvious introvert, because of the amount of time I spend in my head, but I'm a lot more talkative, and generally extroverted.

although if you feel a sudden urge to sing something from Gilbert and Sullivan on a downtown street corner, do consider counseling. :)

Not Gilbert and Sullivan, but I've rather loudly hummed "Master of the House" from Les Miz, just walking home from the Supermarket. Do I need counseling?

I become extroverted from time to time. I've noticed the behavior within the following circumstances:

-Drunk
-Feeling superior (I'm normally very self-conscious/humble)
-Debating or playing devil's advocate
-Stifled by boredom at work (I go off and talk to my officemates)
-High on adrenaline or endorphins (if I go dancing I will be extroverted for a while after, for example).
-Explaining something that really interests me.

Wait, really? Of my years in high school, I practically go to school every day with some sort of caffeine. My most common is coffee, but I drink a Monster energy from time to time in the morning as well. Any more evidence that it is a suicide bomber to Ti? I know in the morning when I first wake up, I tend to be a complete smartass...but is that Ti or just morning irritation?

I have similar experiences, but can be"smart ass" late nights when people's objective seems to be "to irritate", although my Ti is probably dominant through out most of the night.

I've had experiences like that, and all it takes is for someone to be genuinely interested in what I have to say about topics that I deem worthy and interesting. lol. I'm a sucker for religious philosophy discussions... A lot of times I don't even realize I'm being extremely talkative until halfway through my tangent when I stop to think about how much I enjoy the subject, how interested the person is, and how emotionally charged the subject is. Then after thinking about that I start to drift off in the conversation and look like an idiot as I have to ask, "What was I saying?" Only after a few second pause...

Ditto. I always gauge people's interest in what I'm saying by how detailed their responses are. When philosophy comes up is when I'm the one that does all the talking. When this happens around people that don't know me well, one of them says something to the effect of "I thought you were kinda weird but you're alright." I think it's because when I become engaged in a discussion I open up a lot more, so people are feeling that engagement or "warmth" from me that they're used to feeling from everyone else. Not sure, though.

Then after thinking about that I start to drift off in the conversation and look like an idiot as I have to ask, "What was I saying?" Only after a few second pause...

I do this constantly. Some people who know me really well don't even wait for me to say, "What was I saying?" They just say, "Anyway, about ___," where ___ is whatever I was just talking about.

If the topic at hand is something I find interesting I can talk people to death. It's like a glood gate being opened. I really really (I rarely use really twice!) talk a lot when I get going. But then again, as far as I understood the difference between I and E is not "How much do you talk?"

Sometimes i get really excited and happy and I'm the most confident person in the world! However it doesn't last very long and when It's gone I'm left feeling something... I can't really explain feelings well, still waiting on an update to fix this :p But I'm glad I'm not the only one that loses control of their emotions sometimes.

You really are a cheeky labrat, no one has lost their temper or gained new confidence, its just the wonder of partially being able to reflect your thoughts and ideas constructively, just boost your terminology, imitate the shabby professionals and you have a starter kit.

I give people about a year before i can strip them of all their strengths and make them rightfully mine, from then i no longer imitate, and exploring in deviating what is originally their style that i ran away with. that's no myths, wither its leadership( main influence was a cunning INFP), performing acts like an extrovert(i knew many ESTP's), or simply absorbing their intelligence, exponential growth on my behalf has always notably been the case.

Now thats a modest post from a seeming extroverted cleverly developed INTP.

I act pretty extroverted a lot. I have to work with people in situations where there's not actually stuff to do, but I'm still near people. I like to play D&D. Further, the comfort zone thing other people have mentioned.

The extraversion to an INTP means visual memory (Ne) and outer awareness (Se), there being nothing else to his extraversion as his thinking and feeling are both introverted (Ti, Fi). And don't worry if the MBTI theory will not agree with all those functions. These are correct and Socionics agrees with them, as can your observations, and MBTI will partly (Ti and Ne) agree with it also. MBTI's INTP is (dominantly) extraverted, but only as (visual) seeing and sensing.

Socionics INTp is extraverted as Te and Fe. His Ni and Si are introverted, but it's possible that this INTp can be talking a lot a minority of the time as his thinking (and the connected feeling) is extraverted.
