secular heterochromia

ok so i was born with secular heterochromia meaning in one of my eyes there is a portion that is a different color (half of my right eye is green the other half is blue and multi color specks throughout). so i recently had a serious injury that required a blood transfusion and had to have some cartilage replaces so they had to do alot of testing etc.

long story short it turns out i have two separate dna types AKA chimera they said i must have had a twin extremely early on and the stem cells fused together... anyway if you have one eye that is multiple colors have some testing you never know you could be a freak of nature too.

I have one friend who has exact same condition. It happens that some people are born with their twin`s DNA in one or another tissue of their body. Be glad you didn`t end up like this one.

That's really cool, I think I saw on some documentary about evolution that the dual hemisphere brain was likely the result of such a mutation, turns out two brains are better than one.

Who knows, maybe your brain hemispheres are genetically different?
Do you have multiple personalities?

It's quite interesting, I should make a mental note to read about it at some point.

that's weird. a small section (but still large enough to be distinct) of my left eye is brown as opposed to the bluish/greenish/greyish color that the rest is. my aunt has the same thing. i also have ambliopia (my left eye is shit) and don't have depth perception, but that's probably irrelevant, just something that people think is cool when i mention it.
