Anyone playing it?

I just tried it a few days ago and im reallllllllllllllllllllly enjoying this.

I ilke it coz unlike fallen earth, a shotgun sounds like a shotgun... you can repeat missions, the enemies are spaced fairly and in reasonable amounts unlike seeing like a large empty land with 50 .. thats jsut so unnatural...

im playing as the illuminati for now.

oh yeah, and you can learn every skill, you dont have to choose a limited amount. so that i realllllllllllly like.

its still new and i hope they add more stuff alter onnnnnn

Would it not be more entertaining if the shotguns sounded like kitten mews?

im kinda liking it coz you can just make one character and be all and just switch whenever you want to. thinking about it... it gives a similar feel to ... final fantasy tactics skill system? with a crafting similar to minecraft?

15 a month isnt really that big of a deal for me i guess. if id go out to a club its like $10 to get in and $10 for my drink? and i go every week so this i get to play with for a month so... hahahahaah i guess its fair

How is the story? I've heard they tried to keep the grind low, so that people could focus on the stories and puzzles and atmosphere of the game (supposedly the stories are interesting, puzzles interesting, and you need to read them to understand what's going on, complete opposite from Wow, lol). They definitely seem to be catering to my inner gamer, although I don't have time to play for a couple months, at least. :(

From past experience in moding FPS games, no, that would be awful.

However guns that fire to the sounds of various people yelling "bang", each in a number of different ways, is piss-your-pants hilarious :D

Also rocket launcher = "Boosh....... KABOOOM!!!"

And the sniper rifle fires to the sound of an orgasmic moan, but only if you get a headshot.

Weird as it was it certainly gave the game so much more personality.

ok theres the link

snafu, i think you have to do more than that... vegetables will be involved in your case...

The "no classes or levels" thing sounds interesting. How does this manifest exactly? It sounds like a customizers dream; what, you get points as you do things and can add more powers as you see fit? Or what? (I'm reading the site but didn't see a detailed explanation.)

Its like you need 1 or 7 skill points to level up beginners level skills from 12 skill trees?

then the next levels jump to 20, 30 to 50 points and on and on.

the amount of 'experience' points to get a skill point is steady and once you get a point it resets.

so can learn every skill you want. and you can mix and match them.

me i have a shotgun + elementalist.

havent played much lately though, i just found dance tutorial videos on amazon so once i get it down ill play again i guess

I actually had an account or was on their mailing list... maybe I'll play it for a bit. I seem to be an MMO tester... I hop around.

Wow, did you see the master pack was charging $200 just so you could have an in-game rattlesnake jacket and a lifetime membership? The next lowest tier is only $50-60!

Anyway, a friend of mine was making his own RPG 10-15 years ago and had the same kind of system, where you got points and then could spend them on anything you wanted. Even the spells were player-designed, and he would decide based on a basic framework how much a particular spell would cost, based on power and limitations (to raise or reduce the price). It made a lot of sense, and now especially with computers to track that.... a lot easier to implement.

yeah ahahahaha i guess lifetime memberships work for some. i mean imagining WOW to some people, if they had that well... do they?

I dont think i can play just one game for more than a year. unless something really new comes out to change it

you know ehm jenny, you make me think of that dance crew the jabbawocky something... they wear white masks...

I'm not a fan of the pay-for-every-damn-thing-in-the-game approach, which is what this appears to be at first glance. Is that the case?

Well, the point system I was discussing isn't a cash game, you're paying a monthly fee.

However, I've been seeing a shift in online games from paying a flat fee for everything to basically paying less money up front but then having the option for a lot of goodies and options that one can buy a la carte in order to improve one's character or access locked areas of the map.

(FaceBook games are notorious for this, but I think I've seen AD&D Online do this in the MMO sector, and I expect it to continue... The technology is there now to enable pay-per-item, the mini-transaction or whatever it's called...)

most start on a pay by month and then when there arent enough income they restructure to a free to play and pay what you want to buy model.

i dont think theres anything worth buying there in the game... i mean you dont need a respec for one so... i don tkno. well yet...
