Heh.. that's because it's a philosophical romantic comedy. A weird mixture of dark and light comedy.. it's incredibly unique. Some of Woody Allen's films are other romantic comedies I profusely enjoy.I saw "Harold and Maude" recently and it was an interesting romantic comedy with a twisted sense of humor. Very off center, which, of course, is appealing to me.
www.pornforgirlsbygirls.comI call them girl-porn. Unless they're actually funny and bordering on the absurd, like Ella Enchanted, which had me laughing the whole way through.
My favorite is "Shaun of the Dead". A romantic comedy....with zombies!
I really liked Enchanted.
Does The Princess Bride count? That one just never seems to get old for me.
I like Romantic comedies. In fact Sideways is one of my top 3 favorite movies of all time.
I just watched He's Just not that Into You. It's pretty okay... definitely better than most of the reviews would have you believe. It did feel like it was propaganda to make women think certain things about the way men treat them. It's hard to believe that thin, beautiful people could have this much trouble with relationships, but I guess that's how life is in the ES world.
I love the Princess Bride! I don't enjoy romantic comedies unless I can relate with the main character (I usually can't), and if the plot is unique and less predictable than most romantic comedies.
