Requirements to agree to Privacy and Terms for all users

With the latest upgrade XenForo has provided more tools for our compliance with GDPR.

Naturally prospective registrants are required to agree to become members; but now all members however venerable have notices, with logged times, to separately agree to both the Privacy Policy and the Terms and Rules before continuing.


Many sites will be doing this.

On another note, under persuasion, I have taken GMail out of Banned Emails.


It is still --- post Snowden --- a very silly choice.



You may note that to avoid Google we don't have Google Analytics.




Amazon is even worse.

Why is gmail a silly choice?

I don't really care if I'm being spied on by intelligence agencies, it's 99% bills and receipts and 1% birthday messages to/from family.

I used Gmail to register.
Do you mean banned for INTPf staff communication?

Don't worry, the edict is rescinded. I just added Gmail to the Junk Providers, maybe months ago in vBulletin times of yore --- and included it in the jolly nice green notice unregistered people see warning them not to register with bad emails.


There are maybe 7000 junk email providers in the Banned Email list, and believe me, some of them would make you blench just from the titles.

are just a minute sample. There are many quite respectable addresses included in these bulk lists; but it takes very little effort to select a decent provider. One can even run one's own domain to have own's own email, which shouldn't be challenged here at least.


I'll make a list of 10 or 12 good free providers here soon.
