Reality TV is certainly a strange phenomenon, isn't it? I wonder if an INTP has EVER been on a Reality TV show.. and how we'd cope with it. Personally, I could NEVER be on a Reality TV show. I think of the concept of being watched and listened to in every instance of the day and night and cringe! I'm sure Reality TV is mostly full of ESs and ENs. I doubt many introverts have done it, but I'm sure there's been a few. Hmm, I wonder the percentages of personality types on shows like Survivor, or Big Brother.. I bet those ES's are on top.

There may well be an INTP on Beauty and the Geek, but I don't watch it enough to comment... Besides, they're all social extremities and not really accurate representations of all introverts.

I would actually like to on a show like Big Brother... It would be interesting to see how I would interact with people I'm forced to live with (and they deliberately put in clashing personalities), how I would work the group dynamics (gotta keep everyone happy so as to not be nominated for eviction), and how I would appeal to the audience (to get the votes to win). It is, afterall, just a big game, so if it's harder than it looks to appeal to the masses, at the very least It'd be interesting to see how the public takes to INTPs...

The archtypical villans in almost any story are INTPs.

But then everybody loves a good villan.

I don't have a flamboyant enough personality for so called "reality" tv. Though I can be a pain in the butt, and could perhaps stir up trouble, my reactions to things would be more internalized. Not showing emotions is not good for ratings in reality tv. If I made it on a show I am sure that the producers would manipulate the situation so that I would be the first one voted off.

I'm thinking it's kind of funny how a reality tv show shows you precisely what is not reality.

INTPs probably do well in trivia shows :D

The knowledge is useful! It's use is just not apparent to the general populace. ;)

Have any of you seen that MTV is following up their Paris Hilton bff show with a show called bromance? HahahahHahaaaaa..what straight man in his right mind would compete for the reality tv friendship of some other guy...? I have trouble comprehending these people's thought processes, or lack there of.
