6.5/10. Really like the offbeat percussion -- MCR's drummer is (oops -- was) the strongest piece of their band.
Why must you hurt me so

I'm going to listen to the Amanda Palmer you posted next. I love Neil Gaiman and think I ought to give his wife a chance as well.
Amanda is fantastic.
It took me a couple listens to get into her though. She sorta scared me at first, with her strong voice and eyebrows, and the images that came up when I googled her. (She's naked a lot)
If you're just starting out I recommend The Bed Song: (this is what really made me fall in love w her at first.)
And then songs like Astronaut, Lost (I believe that's the one I posted?), and Want It Back.
Also Evelyn Evelyn is great:

This album is a masterpiece. It's put together theatrically, I just adore it.
I recommend finding the whole album somewhere- like iTunes- instead of watching through the music videos.. It's worth it for the experience of hearing the whole album without the videos and stuff /._./ IMO.

The Bed Song -- 8/10. Not the kind of thing I usually listen to, but I found myself really liking it. She reminds me of a very dark Joni Mitchell.

And you did not rate the song I posted. So I repost it (this time without a spoiler, so you can't miss it).

Nice. I was drawing while I listened to it and enjoyed it. 8/10 maybe? The vocals were a bit meh at first but I got used to it
I don't play any instruments (except ukulele, and that's only been a few weeks..) so I'm not hearing them from the same perspective as you, but I really liked them.

This is one of my favorite MCR songs.
"Early Sunsets Over Monroeville"

Late dawns and early sunsets, just like my favorite scenes
Then holding hands and life was perfect, just like up on the screen
And the whole time while always giving
Counting your face among the living

Up and down escalators, pennies and colder fountains
Elevators and half price sales, trapped in by all these mountains
Running away and hiding with you
I never thought they'd get me here
Not knowing you'd change from just one bite
I fought them all off just to hold you close and tight

But does anyone notice?
But does anyone care?
And if I had the guts to put this to your head...
But would anything matter if you're already dead?
And well should I be shocked now by the last thing you said?
Before I pull this trigger,
Your eyes vacant and stained...

But does anyone notice?
But does anyone care?
And if I had the guts to put this to your head...
And would anything matter if you're already dead?
And now should I be shocked by the last thing you said?
Before I pull this trigger,
Your eyes vacant and stained...
And in saying you loved me,
Made things harder at best,
And these words changing nothing
As your body remains,
And there's no room in this hell,
There's no room in the next,
And our memories defeat us,
And I'll end this direst.

But does anyone notice?
But does anyone care?
And if I had the guts to put this to your head...
But does anything matter if you're already dead?
And should I be shocked now by the last thing you said?
Before I pull this trigger,
Your eyes vacant and stained...
And in saying you loved me,
Made things harder at best,
And these words changing nothing
As your body remains,
And there's no room in this hell,
There's no room in the next,
But does anyone notice there's a corpse in this bed?

Seems like what I would picture as an emo/screamo folk/country song.
4/10

Thinking we may have to make another thread soonish.

@Tannhauser: aah Jaime xx is great. I haven't heard this one, the bass was really powerful which surprised me because I'm using crappy headphones.
7.5/10 sounded nice but didn't really go anywhere, yea know. Not enough plot.

WHOA!

Don't believe what they say,
We're dead flies in the summertime
They leave us all behind
With duct tape scars on my honey
They don't like who you are
You won't like where we'll go
Brother, protect me now
With blood they wash in the money!

You don't believe in God
I don't believe in luck
They don't believe in us
But I believe we're the enemy!
You don't believe in God
I don't believe in luck
They don't believe in us
But I believe we're the enemy!

Uh UhUh UhUh
Uh UhUh UhUh
Uh UhUh RIGHT NOW

I'm sick down from the bones to the other side
Red-mob, we insects hide
King rat on the streets in another life
They laugh, we don't think it's funny
If what you are
Is just what you own
What have you become
When they take from you
ALMOST EVERYTHING

You don't believe in God
I don't believe in luck
They don't believe in us
But I believe we're the enemy!
You don't believe in God
I don't believe in luck
They don't believe in us
But I believe we're the enemy!

Destroya Destroya Destroya Destroya Destroya Destroya
Against the sun, we're the enemy
Destroya Destroya Destroya DESTROYER

UhUhUhUh Uh Uh (Uhhh)
UhUhUhUh Uh Uh
UhUhUhUh Uh Uh (Uhhh)
Uh Uh Uh Uh UhUh UhUh

I don't believe in God (you don't believe in God)
I don't believe in luck (I don't believe in luck)
I don't believe in you (They don't believe in us)
I just believe we're the enemy (but I believe we're the enemy)
I don't believe in God (You don't believe in God)
I don't believe in luck (I don't believe in luck)
I don't believe in you (They don't believe in us)
I just believe we're the enemy (but I believe we're the enemy)

Uh Uh Uh Uh UhUh (Uh UhUh Uh Uh UhUh Uh)
Uh Uh Uh Uh (Uh Uh Uh Uh UhUh Uh)
Uh Uh Uh Uh UhUhhh (Uh UhUh Uh Uh Uh Uhhhh)
Uh Uh Uh Uh UhUh (Uh UhUh Uh Uh UhUh Uh)
Uh Uh Uh Uhhh (Uh UhUh Uh)

You don't believe in God
I don't believe in luck
They don't believe in us
But I believe we're the enemy!
You don't believe in God
I don't believe in luck
They don't believe in us
But I believe we're the enemy!

Destroya Destroya Destroya Destroya Destroya Destroya
Against the sun we're the enemy!
Destroya Destroya we're all waiting for yaa Destroya Destroya
Against the sun we're the enemy!

So show me what you got, you children of the gun
Don't hide and we don't run!
(Destroya Destroya well I'm waiting for yaa Destroya Destroya)
Against the sun we're the enemy!
So show me what you got, against the sun we're the enemy!
(Destroya Destroya Destroya DESTROYA)

I'm obsessed with this song

Grrrrr :cat: That lemon Gerard is just too hot, destroya is one of my favorites this month as well :)

@Tanhauser I like how the noise in that album (somehow) makes sense, Darwin Frost says we all can meet in music, I like that idea, kinda like 12 tone music, you start to see music as a lenguage.

Nice
Helped me focus on studying for 5 minutes, thank you
8/10?? Not sure how to rate
My brain's all over the place aaaa

http://youtu.be/OI9GK5Yfk0w

Wait until it fades to black
Ride into the sunset
Would I lie to you?
Well, I've got something to say
Grab your six-gun from your back
Throttle the ignition
Would I die for you?
Well here's your answer in spades

Shotgun sinners
Wild eyed jokers
Got you in my sights
Gun it while I'm holding on

After all is said and done
Climb out from the pine box
Well I'm asking you
'Cause she's got nothing to say
The angels just cut out her tongue
Call her black Mariah
Would I lie to you?
That girl's not right in the brain

Mass convulsions
Strike the choir
By the grace of God
Gun it while I'm holding on

But don't stop if I fall
And don't look back
Oh baby don't stop
Bury me and fade to black

She won't stop me put it down
She won't stop me put it down
She won't stop me put it down
So get your gun and meet me by the door
[x3]

She won't stop me put it down
She won't stop me put it down
She won't stop me put it down
So baby...

Don't stop if I fall
And don't look back
Oh baby don't stop
Bury me and fade to black
[x2]

...Well don't stop...

Too much tech-glam for me, otherwise good energy. Interesting rhythmic quirks. It reminds me of a band called Atheist. The smooth singing sounds lame, but the growly parts are better. I will give it 5/10 since i can appreciate the work and performance and some of the rhythmic elements but cannot honestly say that the whole strikes me as true whatsoever. The overall impression is quite insecure, messy and forced.

This is what I am going to say Artsu's video is:

https://youtu.be/D5l7OZngJ8s

Which I can see you rocking in an El Dorado Monte Carlo.

Classic as far as crisp and clean goes. 7/10

I'm going with:

https://youtu.be/2D37POA11KY

because I like the video and I have been listening to it a lot lately.

Seems like something I could study to.

I've been listening to this album flat-stick for the last couple months. Usually this kinda stuffs a little too angsty for me but this seems like a right banger.

Edit: who am I kidding? I listen to angsty music all the time...
