Let's rock this forum! Make your own rock concert!

I' like to start it off a little slow. Here's "It ends tonight" - All-American Rejects:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XempunzHQ0U

Now here's Weezer to kick it up a notch!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pK2GaqqKAqo

Enter Rise Against for something a little more hardcore:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iOtM5bOS84

That song was so good, they play an encore:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhU3RajAo9k&feature=channel

Now, let's go back to the 90's a bit with some Blink-182, Radiohead and Weezer:

To end off the show, I present you with...Green Day:

Hope you guys enjoyed the show! Rock on! :smoker:

What rock bands do you guys like?

Wow good stuff guys! I always wanted to listen to older punk.

I'm really getting into Rise Against now. They're a bunch of hippie tree hugging vegans, but are damn hard core (lol)!

I kind of laugh when i hear people say rise against is hardcore.
I like a wide variety of music but my main diet is metal. Very. heavy. metal. Anything lighter than Slayer is "pansy" music to me (censored slightly because i don't know you dudes well enough yet). Rise Against isn't terrible though. I've gotten tired of them recently because of how much they are played on the radio. (I also consider music that is usually on the radio, especially a Clear channel station, to be garbage and hardly music at all.)

Heavy metal is just too hardcore for me. Maybe I'm just getting too old for that loud crap.

I think Punk rock goes hand in hand with being an INTP!

I don’t know any of this music. Which is odd, since I listen to a lot of stuff. Not really punk rock, though.

I like some rock music (the bands I posted are pretty much the only rock I listen to), but I'm mostly into underground hip-hop.

Well considering the rate of musical production, it is impossible nowadays that a single person can ever hear all the songs in existance during a single lifetime.

A fact that depresses me greatly.

Come on, saying that Blink 182 and Rise Against are Punk is saying that Coldplay and U2 are Prog Rock.

Also, Punk itself is very, very SP.

Hmm... Where to start? I'm a huge rock fan, but there are so many band that I don't want to post youtube links for everything.

Jimmy Eat World (yes, I'm a sucker)
Coheed and Cambria
Breaking Benjamin
Smashing Pumpkins
Chevelle
old Green Day
3 Doors Down
The Offspring
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
Staind
Foo Fighters
30 Seconds to Mars
My Chemical Romance (Yeah, I know I'm a sucker but I only like Helena, Black Parade, Teenagers, and Ghost of You)
Weezer! :D
Alkaline Trio
Evanescence

I pretty much lived on this stuff in my early teen years, and it has a lot of nostalgic value, and is still pretty good music. I just find it ironic that I listen to progressive stuff a lot as well. They're almost polar opposites for the most part. Ah well.

If I'm honest I couldn't stay further away from punk, especially recent stuff like Greenday and Blink 182.

I don't listen to much "pure" rock. Radiohead is my favourite band, but I observe thet Creep and Talk Show Host have been posted already, so here's one of their other ones I especially love, Exit Music (for a film):

Bright Eyes - First Day of my Life:

Mew - Am I Wry? No:

Wilco - Heavy Metal Drummer:

TV on the Radio - Wolf Like Me:

Definitely not punk, and not strictly rock either though.

Edit:

Coheed and Cambria
Smashing Pumpkins

Whoops! I shouldn't have forgotten those two.
