Privacy Policy : A New Dawn

With the GDPR coming, a delightful new Privacy Policy is here, that applies to all new members on registration; and by default to all past and present members, being assumed to have agreed.

IT is under Help on the lowest rung, and is presented here, as The Sunne in Splendour.


I do see it's all pushed in with no paragraphs; but looking at it I rather like it that way. It's a frigging privacy policy with all the dignity such things deserve.

Following this, and my post in the Translations thread on GDPR, a few hours ago XenForo announced coping mechanisms for the trauma to be implemented in 2.06, the next iteration of the software.

I'm not sure how you added those help pages, but I went around and fixed the styling. It is now much more readable, if there's any masochist willing to do so.

It was merely a matter of adding the proper html tags, plus a bit of CSS, which can also now be reused for other content too.

The Cookies Help either came with the forum default, or was added by the previous Cookie add on.

The Terms and Rules, as mentioned elsewhere, have to be found in Search Phrases, then the added additions with < p > liberally sprinkled were easy to edit in.

The Privacy Policy I just created ab initio from a template provided by this site, Jamie King, with interesting additions shoved in to make it all our own.


Thanks for fixing it, yet a small part of me liked the fact it looked like gobbledegook.
