Potential female INTP

Her 'about me' page linked above could be something I've written, spooky. I've watched many of her talks with my security work but not from a MBTI perspective. Clearly an NT from her self-description, probably not an INTJ because there's a warmth that INTJ's never have in my experience (but INTP's do have). Probably not ENTP as it's all about analysis over ideation. Likewise appears more introverted dominant so probably not ENTJ, which leaves INTP.

In particular her work is about diseccting and analyzing architectural security flaws, focused on Intel platforms. Her work here is flawless, I've thoroughly enjoyed following her papers and research. This kind of work is pure prototypical Ti.

That description seems to fit INTP more than INFP. Fi/Te would be more concerned about the value of ones ideas and with offers and plans to "effect" the world. Ti/Fe is all about keeping an autonomous mind and moral system and establishing harmony indirectly.

Both INTJ and INTP concern themselves with ideas. The intj focus is practical implementation while the intp focuses on the development of the idea itself. As an INTP ages they get more complex moral systems but they dont define who they are by these systems. They dont feel the need to make a bio about themselves and identify who they are by a set of morals and values. That is total feeling logic. An intp supports moral systems because it is the rational choice and not because they use it as a source of identity.

If you are in computer security you know her, and you'd know what Qubes is, she's done more for the public than you or me by orders of magnitude. Devotes her life to offering FOR FREE the most secure general purpose operating system on the planet. In other words, it goes without saying. In particular she stands out with the quality and unique nature of her research. An INFP could never produce this kind of work.

Saying she's an INFP is like saying Bill Clinton is an INTJ, ridiculous to anybody who knows anything about the person. If you don't want to study her work (and I wouldn't if I were you unless it interested you) just take it on faith she's an NT, and then use that page to judge whether she's an INTP.

Her morals and values are a driving factor in what she did and accomplished, from what I can see. Why do you think an INFP couldn't understand computer security?

I think she is INTJ. She has that kind of cold stare that Te types have. I know typing based off image rarely yields good results, but I'd also like to say that her values seem to be driven from focussing on self more than on people as a whole. This leads me to believe she has Fi in her stack. I don't see really any Ne in her at all - her bio is very organised into what she is about and doesn't part from "this is who I am". I see Ni Fi in her because she seems to look into the future a lot and this is backed up by her own values and not doing it just to learn more.

My impressions anyways.

Will be interesting to see what Architect thinks of this if he bothers to comment on it at all.

I plugged her bio into that facebook app thing on one of the other threads. It came up with INTJ actually. Not that was evidence of anything... I just felt like sharing.

Yes, to analyze her from NT perspective, the focus on goal makes her rational person (=not ENTP argumentation or INTJ critics) and she is introverted and not bouncy like ENTJs are.

She reminds me of an INTP I know overall. Although that particular case suffers from huge social anxiety but overall same demeanour.
