On my way to success.
Hey, I am new, and maybe people have said this before, or maybe it is my own fault.

But I have the following problems:

1. It seems as whenever people are editing their posts, the post disappears until I refresh the page. It can disappear while I'm reading it. It is VERY annoying. Is it supposed to be like this?
2. My formatting of my own text wont stick to the post. If I write something in bold or italic, it does show in the text editor, but it is not applied to my post when I post it. I have to edit, and add formats again.
3. Quoted text is always shown in italic, which nullifies any emphasis made on certain parts of the post, if these are made in italic by the initial poster. It really is pointless to put quoted text in italic anyway, as the text is already put in a quote box.

1. Same for everybody. A quick ctrl+r takes you back to the same general spot at least, so you don't have to scroll down again.
2. Not sure what's up with this. I do know that when you change text color you have to select the actual color every time; just clicking the A symbol inserts inapplicable code.
3. It's annoying, but that's why I use color/underline.

This is just how I deal with it. I do personally hope 1 and 3 can be changed.

I totally agree with this peeve. Quotes are italicized at PerC and TypologyCentral, too, so I'm guessing it's the vBulletin default. Not only does this mean that the emphasis of italicized words within the quote is lost, but italic fonts tend to be a little harder to read than regular. That's why I often indent quotes, rather than using the Quote formatting.

INTJforum uses vBulletin but quotes aren't italicized, so I know it's tweakable.
